We need to resign a few of our own players. As well as add a few.
Where are we for next year?

We won’t have much money to do anything. But who cares? This is the team. We don’t need anything but a kicker and good health
I would love to see them have the cash available to resign Mostert and Jeff Wilson. They are both RB’s that have been big upgrades over the previous RB’s the Dolphins have had in recent years.

And linebackers and cornerbacks and probably OL.

I’m sure we’ll lose geisicki & Byron. We should be able to resign the rbs
Byron Jones is not a free agent so if he's gone it'd be on a trade or cut....Agree about Gesicki....our cap is not good at all so don’t expect us to bring in any top free agents.....we'll lose a few so we need to hit on the few picks we have left

Wilkins is going to get paid. By us.

The interesting big salary guys are Howard, Jones, and Ogbah. Jerome Baker is another. Gonna be interesting to see what they do with those guys if there’s any outside interest.

LB is a huge need but CB is the most polarizing position. Howard has clearly lost a step and has been dealing with nagging injuries all year, Jones is an unknown, Needham is an impending FA coming off a major injury, and overall Igbinoghene hasn’t shown close to enough. Kohou is the only sure thing going forward. A major overhaul at the position could be needed, and it’s a highly sought after position in the draft and we won’t pick until day 2.

Also intriguing to see the direction they go at TE. Can’t imagine paying Gesicki at his usage rate in this offense and the rest of the group are JAG. Dalton Schultz (FA)? Won’t have a shot at Michael Meyer.

I think Byron Jones was gone after this season no matter what…he’ll be cut.

All the other wasted money will be gone too…Bridgewater, our great kicker…Cedrick Wilson come to mind!

Gesicki won’t be back either….

The Cap is a lie.

Anything but.

Death, taxes and cap hits. Can’t avoid them. Pushing them off only makes sense for the first two.

I suspect we’ll try and off load some contracts by giving up draft picks. We don’t have a lot but we can be creative and our guys have some value.

Baker, Ogbah, Jones, Wilson, could have value to bad teams; and there are a lot of them.

Worst case you ride it out and deal with a lot less dead money in 2024.

James Bradberry come on down. If we can clear enough space for just one player, this is the guy. To think, the Giants were forced to basically hand him to the Eagles for one year. Giants cap was a mess in 2022, clears up nicely in 2023.

Right now we’re at about 6.3M OVER next years projected cap. Guessing that’s before any roll over credits but we’re gonna be up against it. An extension for Wilkins can bring down his 10M+ 5th option salary. Still a lot of work will be needed.

It will be tough sledding with those CBs making that much coin and right now the return is minimal.
