I mean we all saw the workout videos, he didn't look very "injured". Something doesn't seem right here to me.

Making training videos and being football ready are not the same. I think he's just not ready and not in good enough shape.

He didnt even look in great shape in those videos. I think he is out of shape, and isnt in "football shape" so they will bring him in slowly, and allow the other guys who are 100% ready to play and contribute. We are bound to lose someone to injury, so by week 6 he can have over 3 months of prep and learning the playbook.

I personally am sick and tired of him. He hasn't done one damn thing for us and we wasted a #3 overall pick on the worthless bum. Makes me sick.

What's going on is the Dolphins realize Dion Jordan is a bum and he sucks and should not have been picked #3 overall but they're too embarrassed to release him.

Why would they be too embarrassed to release him? This wasn't the FO that took him... They know he has potential and want to wait and see if they can use him before just cutting him

Because 'Worst Case Scenario' is seeing Dion Jordan become a stud for some other team.

This was the front office that took him. Where do you think Grier was or did you miss the part where he's been with the organization for 9 years. These are the same scouts. Tannenbaum is the same guy that was backing him when he was coming off of suspension.

Earlier this month, the agent for suspended Dolphins defensive end Dion Jordan tweeted that his client was the “comeback player of the year.”
“We certainly hope so,” Tannenbaum said, via the Miami Herald. “Right now, he’s not eligible to play. It’s something we don’t have much to share. … Once he’s reinstated, he will be a member of the team and we’ll go from there. .. We’re still waiting on the league. I don’t think there’s anything imminent.”

They misjudged his potential...athleticism does not equal potential...I think too many people are confusing the two.

Something "not right" with Dion Jordan is a massive understatement.

Why is this such a big surprise for people? Did anyone actually think he was going to be on the 53 man roster after not playing for so long? Really?

Probably failed an internal drug test and was stashed on the NFI list to avoid a League test.

Dion Jordan is a myth.

Right up there with Where's Waldo.

BNF.

Quite a difference from being the one who traded up for him and a guy saddled with him. Of course Tannenbaum is going to offer words of support. He's a member of the organization like it or not. And it's the right move to see what they have in him. They have plenty of money so it's silly to argue cap constraints. You can blame Jordan for being an idiot but not for Ireland trading up and selecting him.

How many of you pissed at his being picked third then getting suspended were furious when Ricky quit on the team but quickly forgave him in 2008?

The guy was a horrible pick for many reason but really mostly the fact that he was not a good fit on a 4-3 defense. His best position would be OLB on a 3-4 defense which we didn't(and still don't)run at the time. Ireland is totally responsible for wasting 2nd round pick just to move up for him. On top of it they didn't do their home work that he's a druggie too so it costed our first AND 2nd round pick to get nothing out of him and of course he was injured which it's the kind of player we seem to love drafting.

Ozzy rules!!

He's going to end up being the biggest bust in the history of the Miami Dolphins. The team needs to just own it and wash their hands of him. He is never going to do a damn thing for us.
