The recurring themes with the Dolphins will shape how we will remember this team of 2009.

The offense produces a monster 10 minute drive that eats up 2/3 of a quarter, then the opposing team counters in less than 2 minutes with simple drag routes, or WR screens that result in quick, demoralizing TD's

The defense Never stops the opposing offense on a late drive that doesn't have the letters J-E-T-S on them.

The Offense has receivers that get no separation, drop balls and are afraid of contact.

The linebackers never take over a game and make big plays throughout.

Our free safety ends up with 0 int's at years end

We end up 7-9

See you next year, hope for a good draft and some success in FA:crazy:

I see 9-7.

Which where most of us had them at the start of the season.
People act like its bad. 9-7 is a winning record. 9 wins with this schedule while rebuilding is great, especially with our young guys.

it just frustrates me that every single time we have done something postive this season, the next drive we lose all that momentum. no exagirations, it happens every single time, and its frustrating.

It is frustrating as hell. The offense has no identity again. You think we find ourselves and it all goes away. Still pissing in the wind.

I'm patient. We played a good game today.

When BP and company took over last year, the folks on these boards seemed to have a pretty clear indication of what the schedule for rebuilding was. I think that going to the playoffs last year may have given some the misconception that we were somehow ahead of schedule...we clearly are not. But, that being said, we appear to be right on schedule. We are 18 months from the horror of the 97' season, and we are already competative with the best teams in the league. Next year, we will win a few of those...then records like 3-5 will become 5-3 or 6-2...and we will be right with the best in the NFL.

C'mon people...we had two rookie DB's covering Moss and Welker today and started a QB in his 5th freaking game and only lost by 10 to the Pats in their stadium...and could have actually won it. We are getting there...

I said 7-9 before the season and that we would be competative in every game. That is about exactly where we are.

As long as there is foward progress, there's hope of a better tomorrow for the phins. Ever since the start of the parcel's regime, there's nothing that indicates that we won't become one of the better nfl teams. Last year's turn around was down right miraculous. And so far this year, we've had some geniune opportunities to win against elite teams like the colts, saints and pats. The records stinks, and no one likes to lose, but at least the weaknesses are obvious. And they will be dealt with in time. And so that leaves us with hope. After all of the failed eras that followed the days of Marino, the current dolphins make me feel much better.
