I know it's still early, but I just wanna know. Vote for the best move. I chose the fasano/akin for the 4th.

Bill Parcells accepting the position of VP of football operations. if that doesn't count then the DECISION to get younger and clean house

Parcells is the obvious answer. In terms of players, I like what they did with the defensive line because it allows them to be fresh through rotations. (Langford, Starks, etc.)

Of the choices I went with Pennington. The whole demeanor of this team changed when he came on board. They all of a sudden felt like the could be better.

Thanks a lot Fin-Atic, I was slapping my forehead because I just knew I was going to forget some people. I have a question maybe you can help me with, I have not been getting any credits lately even though I have made some successful threads. I was wondering if you knew why. I have been pretty active the last two weeks and no credits lol. I just want to stock up on credits so I can bet again on the fins again.

While Tuna gave us a direction, and Sparano gave us a tough nosed attitude and a very good coaching staff, I think the answer is Pennington. As previously stated, he really changed the demeanor of the team. Also, for all his physical weaknesses, he has not really hurt our team as some of our past veteran QBs (Green,Daunte, Joey, AJ, Gus Gus) had.

and if we didn't have Pennington, Chad Henne would be baptized by fire as he was clearly the best QB we had at that point.

Obviously, if we don't get Parcells the rest of names probably don't make it to the list. So I'll give him a special award and remove him from my consideration list with a courteous bow of respect.

Best off-season move... Pennington. For all the reasons stated. As bad as the cards game was for everyone, he put it behind him and hit 17 out of 20 passes against the pats. His leadership on the field is exactly what a young team needed. He's better than the QBs we've traded for recently, and he basically fell into our laps for nothing. Thanks Brett, you rock.

In my "best off-season non-move" award, I give it to the FO for not dumping Beck. Whether he blossoms in the future for us or is dealt in trade, dumping him for next to nothing this past summer would have been short-sighted. Another training camp under his belt next year and a couple of good preseason games behind him, and you either have trade bait or a better QB on your own team.

I think getting younger on offense and trading away Jason Taylor was a great move. We got a second rounder next season and a sixth rounder in 2010. He obviously didn't want to start over with a new head coach and a whole new regime altogether. If he had been here he wouldn't have been happy. I think we raped the redskins on that deal alone. Jason getting injured wasn't cool, but right now it looks like the guys we have in charge know how to get the job done.

Everyone knows that getting Parcells/Sparano in here was the greatest offseason move, but the JT trade (sorry had to see him go) was a great move.

Personally I think Parcells name should be removed from the poll because, as others have pointed out, none of the rest happens without him. With that understanding I chose Fasano/Akin as the best. Not that the others aren't good as well, but anytime you can get 2 starters for a 4th round pick that has to be considered brilliance. Fasano, despite his disappearing act during the 'drubbing in the desert' looks like he has star potential. Not top tier great, but still very good. Akin is a servicable starter. All that for a 4th! Way to go Bill!!!
