What is the BEST we can do?

Never know we could be 12 - 4 from 4 - 12 in previous season. Look at 1999 Rams they finished win Super Bowl from 4 - 12 in 1998.

Now you know how we feel reading your prediction.....

Boy...you really walked right into that one.

My team was a missed FG away from the AFC Championship and we improved this offseason, your team was 4-12. My prediction is very realistic, your prediction has as much chance of coming true as your Heat-Pistons prediction.

By the way, in your Jets prediction you have us at 0-8 on the road. We have been one of the better road teams for a long time w/ only ONE sub .500 road mark coming in the last 8 years.

12-4 is downright laugahble, even if things break perfect for yuo and the other 3 AFC East teams are ravagewd w/ injuries you will not win 12 games.

The ceiling I would say is 8 maybe 9 games. Looking at your sched:

Denver is a bit overrated but will still be tough for you, you aren't winning in Week 2, Carolina is very difficult, at Buf is a loss, at TB will be a good game, KC will be very tough, at NO will be tough, Atl will be very tough, you will no beat NE, at Cle is winnable, at oak will be difficult, Buf at home will be difficult, at SD is difficult, The Jets at home will be very difficult, and NE again will be a loss. Best case is probably 8, you'll probably be in the 5-8 range. This is how I see it now:

SEPT. 11 DENVER BRONCOS 1:00 P.M. CBS W(1-0)
Sept. 18 at New York Jets 4:15 p.m. CBS L(1-1)
SEPT. 25 CAROLINA PANTHERS 1:00 P.M. FOX L(1-2)
Oct. 2 Bye Weekend
OCT. 9 at Buffalo Bills 1:00 p.m. CBS L(1-3)
Oct. 16 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers 1:00 p.m. CBS W(2-3)
OCT. 23 KANSAS CITY CHIEFS 1:00 P.M. CBS L(2-4)
Oct. 30 at New Orleans Saints 1:00 p.m. CBS L(2-5)
NOV. 6 ATLANTA FALCONS 1:00 P.M. FOX L(2-6)
NOV. 13 NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS 1:00 P.M. CBS L(2-7)
Nov. 20 at Cleveland Browns 1:00 p.m. CBS W(3-7)
Nov. 27 at Oakland Raiders 4:05 p.m. CBS L(3-8)
DEC. 4 BUFFALO BILLS 1:00 P.M. CBS W(4-8)
Dec. 11 at San Diego Chargers 4:15 p.m. CBS L(4-9)
DEC. 18 NEW YORK JETS 1:00 P.M. CBS L(4-10)
DEC. 24 TENNESSEE TITANS 1:00 P.M. CBS W (5-10)
Jan. 1 at New England Patriots 1:00 p.m. CBS L(5-11)

I had no idea what to expext of your sched, that is tough. You will be lucky to win 7 games, I think ou'll get better as the season goes on and probably win 6 games and gain some momentum for the offseason and be legit playoff contendeers in 2006.

Yeah its hard top predict records now, I think we will go 8-8 thats a safe bet.
The best we can do is go 9-7 I would be thrilled with either.

You say we win 5 games then 6 than 7 than 8 make up your mind, well you are a Jets homer so im not that surprised, well lets see what happens.

the point I believe is that that Div was a MONSTER going into the year how they faired afterwards was a different story....Just like this year could be.

That div wasn't supposed to be great. Den was overrated as usual and Oak was not suppsoed to be good. The only team that was supposed to be good and was not was KC. This year the other 3 AFC east teams should all at least be over .500.

For a team w/ AJ Feeley/Gus Frerrotte at QB ,w/ OL problems, w/ an aging overrated D, a rookie HC, issues in the LR, playing in the toughest div in football it is. This is another Heat in 5 moment for you :D

A)Last years chargers team had just as unstable a group of QBs as we did. Brees had not shown any more then Gus had in the past.
B) Just about every anaylst ranked the Chargers line dead last but a guy named HUDSON changed all of that...where is he now?
C) Our D is better then what they were supposed to be and we just added great youth in the draft. We just drafted Roth,Crowder,Daniels,Wright. 3 of those guys were supposed to be 1st rounders( Wright was projected for next year) and Daniels is solid.
D) Rookie HC or not hes a winner and one of the most respected coaches out there. Ill take hi over Herm any day unproven or not.
E) I assume u mean issues in PR...what issues r u talking about in particular?

THINK before you post.

i say we lose to carolina but win against the jets and ya 12-4 is good

I think we beat Carolina. Thier biggest weakness is against a power Running game. We won't have RW but we'll have Ronnie and Lamar and Morris. We'll be able to set up the deep ball against their secondary. And I think our defense will confuse them, get a lot of pressure on them and create some turnovers and we will win it in a close one.

STOP with the Chargers comparisons...

The Chargers didn't have a winning record since 1995 until last year. If you mean you guys will suck for nearly a decade, then you'd pull a San Diego.

San Diego's season by season records since 95:

2004 - 12-4
2003 - 4-12
2002 - 8-8
2001 - 5-11
2000 - 1-15
1999 - 8-8
1998 - 5-11
1997 - 4-12
1996 - 8-8
1995 - 9-7

My predicition was to illustrate a point.

Woulda Coulda Shoulda......= Loser talk.

A)Last years chargers team had just as unstable a group of QBs as we did. Brees had not shown any more then Gus had in the past.

Brees had SD at 6-1 in 2002 before the Jets went to SD and stomped them sending them backwards.

B) Just about every anaylst ranked the Chargers line dead last but a guy named HUDSON changed all of that...where is he now?

That's fine but SD had a bunch of young OL who blossomed. We'll see if guys like James, Hadnot and McKinney can blossom.

C) Our D is better then what they were supposed to be and we just added great youth in the draft. We just drafted Roth,Crowder,Daniels,Wright. 3 of those guys were supposed to be 1st rounders( Wright was projected for next year) and Daniels is solid.

They had a bunch of young guys, you guys signed some has beens and your current guys are getting old. Even when your D was supposedly great they always folded in big games which SD did not do last year.

D) Rookie HC or not hes a winner and one of the most respected coaches out there. Ill take hi over Herm any day unproven or not.

Spurrier was a winner in college too, Pete Carroll is a winner(much bigger winner than Saban) in college but couldn't cut it in the pros. I'm not saying Saban won't be a good HC but it remians to be seen and for now I'll take the proven Herm over him any day.

E) I assume u mean issues in PR...what issues r u talking about in particular?

Ricky coming back, mcmichael beating up his wife again. Things like that.

THINK before you post.

Really? They had 2 4-12 teams in 2003 and their 2 playoff teams(records built laregly on playing the 4-12 teams) didn't win a game in the playoffs. Take your own advice please.

16-0.

No matter how "realistic" you think you are, you do not know if we are going to win or lose any games, unless you have a crystal ball. We could go 8-8, 9-7, 10-6.... how many of those close games we could have won last year would have changed things?

OH...okay.....

Herm.........

BTW...Saban has more NFL experience than Carroll and Spurrier ever had when they took jobs.....

But come on....Herman Edwards is a step above a functional tard.
