What is the BEST we can do?

Really? They had 2 4-12 teams in 2003 and their 2 playoff teams(records built laregly on playing the 4-12 teams) didn't win a game in the playoffs. Take your own advice please.

Built largely on beating the two 4-12 teams? how many times did they play them 13? 10?

PLEASE THINK before you post.

My team was a missed FG away from the AFC Championship and we improved this offseason, your team was 4-12. My prediction is very realistic, your prediction has as much chance of coming true as your Heat-Pistons prediction.

By the way, in your Jets prediction you have us at 0-8 on the road. We have been one of the better road teams for a long time w/ only ONE sub .500 road mark coming in the last 8 years.
He asked what the best "WE" could do is. So unless you are a Dolphin fan, you are not included in his question

STOP with the Chargers comparisons...

The Chargers didn't have a winning record since 1995 until last year. If you mean you guys will suck for nearly a decade, then you'd pull a San Diego.

San Diego's season by season records since 95:

2004 - 12-4
2003 - 4-12
2002 - 8-8
2001 - 5-11
2000 - 1-15
1999 - 8-8
1998 - 5-11
1997 - 4-12
1996 - 8-8
1995 - 9-7

Thats a legitamite argument. I wasnt trying to compare us to the chargers, i was simply trying to rebut nycs statement that were not similar.

OH...okay.....

Herm.........

BTW...Saban has more NFL experience than Carroll and Spurrier ever had when they took jobs.....

But come on....Herman Edwards is a step above a functional tard.

He does? Saban spent 2 years w/ the Oilers and 4 years w/ the browns while Carroll had spent 10 seasons as an NFL assistant before becoming Jets HC in 1994. Are you ever right?

As for Herm, he must be doing something right going to the playoffs 3 of 4 years and being the last HC to win a game at NE and the only other HC to lead his team to an AFC East title since the Pats dynasty began.

Both KC & den each got 4 W's frm playing SD & oak. That is a huge chunk of wins. Please stop, you only make yourslef look sillier w/ each post.

Brees had SD at 6-1 in 2002 before the Jets went to SD and stomped them sending them backwards.

That's fine but SD had a bunch of young OL who blossomed. We'll see if guys like James, Hadnot and McKinney can blossom.

They had a bunch of young guys, you guys signed some has beens and your current guys are getting old. Even when your D was supposedly great they always folded in big games which SD did not do last year.

Spurrier was a winner in college too, Pete Carroll is a winner(much bigger winner than Saban) in college but couldn't cut it in the pros. I'm not saying Saban won't be a good HC but it remians to be seen and for now I'll take the proven Herm over him any day.

Ricky coming back, mcmichael beating up his wife again. Things like that.

A) Gus went to a pro bowl and Feeley led Philly to a winning record as well.
B) Thats what im hoping for.
C) Kevin Carter and Keith Traylor have both been solid there whole creers. Vonnie is arguable but he may not start anywayz. Ethir way we drafted 4 rookies with incredible potential. Also Donnie Spargan was an infusion of youth.
D)I guess theres no way to prove Saban will be good that is just my belief from what i have seen.
E)I think Ricky coming back has much more positive then negative. And Randy ill wait till the facts come.

at best 15-1
At worst 7-9
The dolphins are better then the jets the jets are going down because with a quarterback like fiedler that throws interception and pennington gets sacked most of the time.

Gus' PB was in 1996 and was as an injury replacement. Feeley was 4-1 as a starter in philly but they beat 7-9 SL, 7-9 Sea, 7-9 Wash, & 5-11 Dallas. His only start against a team w/ a winning record was a Loss against the Giants.

C) Kevin Carter and Keith Traylor have both been solid there whole creers. Vonnie is arguable but he may not start anywayz. Ethir way we drafted 4 rookies with incredible potential. Also Donnie Spargan was an infusion of youth.

I wouldn't be excited about the vets but the rookies are another story. You have some building blocks on D but those guys probably won't be immediate impact players.

D)I guess theres no way to prove Saban will be good that is just my belief from what i have seen.

I neevr said he wouldn't be, actually I think he will be a good HC but he is a rookie HC so give him time to grow.

E)I think Ricky coming back has much more positive then negative. And Randy ill wait till the facts come.

I think Ricky is a negative but we'll see.

Pittsburgh were 6-10 in 2003 last year pittsburgh were 15-1 if pittsburgh can do it, the dolphins can do it

I say 9-7 at best, and the worst I would say 7-9. Let's just get the season going, kick some @ss, and be the spoiler in the division!:beerbang:

the only reason u guys got that far was because San Diego missed their field goal in overtime on Wild Card weekend and do u really think u would have had a fighting chance against New England? In Foxboro during that insane blizzard back in January? I think not.

I think its pathetic and sick that Jets fans come in here and act like they have an amazing team. Too me they are no better than the Dolphins before Ricky retired.
