What is the BEST we can do?

the only reason u guys got that far was because San Diego missed their field goal in overtime on Wild Card weekend and do u really think u would have had a fighting chance against New England? In Foxboro during that insane blizzard back in January? I think not.

I think its pathetic and sick that Jets fans come in here and act like they have an amazing team. Too me they are no better than the Dolphins before Ricky retired.
I was pulling for my second favorite team to finish the job, and it fell through! That left a mark!

The best we can do is win the superbowl like any other team before the season starts.

Great outlook. And you are right! Who knows what will happen to other teams and how quickly the team will get the new systems!

My team was a missed FG away from the AFC Championship and we improved this offseason, your team was 4-12. My prediction is very realistic, your prediction has as much chance of coming true as your Heat-Pistons prediction.

Well, I predict the Dolphins to be anywhere from 6-10 to 10-6. I predict the Jets to be anywhere from 6-10 to 11-5.

I also predicted my Spurs to win it all, because I don't give a damn about the Heat or anyone else in the NBA. For you to say 12-4 is laughable is your own opinion, which like always, u have the right.

You're just afraid that your team might not be as good as you think. That's why you come to this website and wouldnt ya know it, disagree with a lot/most of what us Dolfans have to say.

The way I see it, we were in every game last year except for 1 (being the MNF @ jets game, of course). If either A.J. improves or we have another QB who won't forget which team he is on whenever a defender gets within 10 feet, then we win 5 more games. Tennesee, Cincinatti, Vs. NYJ, Seattle, and Buffalo (can't remember if it was H or A) were all games that were lost by 7 points or less and all of them included a play where a defensive player crossed the Miami goal line off the hands of, 4 of those times, Feeley. The best things you can say for Frerrote is that he is strong-armed, and instinctive. I'd say an Instinctive Qb makes us 9-7.

Also, I'd like to know why you are so sure Miami will not beat NE? Fins are clearly better than last season (when A.J. Feeley actually out-QB'd Tom Brady and we beat the pats), and the pats are not going to be as good. Sorry, but w/o Weiss, the offense just won't be as productive.

For a team w/ AJ Feeley/Gus Frerrotte at QB ,w/ OL problems, w/ an aging overrated D, a rookie HC, issues in the LR, playing in the toughest div in football it is. This is another Heat in 5 moment for you :D

If i were you I would focus on my brittle QB, 32 yr. old RB, and poor draft.

I personally have no problem with Gus as our starting QB. we have addressed our OL both coaching wise and personnel, as well as installing parts to our D of the future. Our D has been in the top 10 the last 5 years and the core is still solid. Our coach has great NFL experience under the best current coach in the league. We have no more issues in the LR than any other team in the NFL other than ricky, who will silence his critics when he breaks off a couple of hundred yards games this season.

We will struggle some early, but just when we get written off for the post season, I think we will string a group of victories together, and make a wild card run late in the year.

You got all the resumes wrong...as usual........

Nyjunc...you make yourself look sillier by just posting on this site.

Just stop please, once again you lose an argument. Someday you'll be able to ahng w/ me but as of now you are a few notches below. Saban's first NFL job was in '88 or '89 w/ Houston and then he was DC for 4 years in Cle. Carroll's first NFL job was in 1984 then beginning in 1990 he spent 4 years as Jets DC.

Pete Carroll's bio:

Everyone remembers SD's missed FG but what about Brien missing a 33 yarder in the 1st half? or what about when we had the game won only to see a dumb penalty in the last seconds to allow SD to tie? If one of those 2 things happen then SD doesn't even get to OT.

I think its pathetic and sick that Jets fans come in here and act like they have an amazing team. Too me they are no better than the Dolphins before Ricky retired.

I don't act like we have an amzing team, I think we have a good one. I think we have a team that can make a deep playoff run but I don't say anything is assured.

You're just afraid that your team might not be as good as you think. That's why you come to this website and wouldnt ya know it, disagree with a lot/most of what us Dolfans have to say.

You got me. I come here for discussion w/ opposing fans, sometimes I see the optimism a bit too high and I comment on it. I saw it last year too, even after all the problems a good portion of the folks were predicting playoffs. I'm giving an honest assessment, is there somethig wrong w/ that? I'm not putting down Miami b/c I don't like them and I'm not saying the Jets are going to the SB. I think I have been very fair w/ Miami saying they will be a playof contender next year.

The way I see it, we were in every game last year except for 1 (being the MNF @ jets game, of course).

It sounds good buy trust me it doesn't mean anything. A loss is a loss and alot of those lsoses teams played conservative b/c they knew the only way they would lose would be if they had bad TOs.

If i were you I would focus on my brittle QB, 32 yr. old RB, and poor draft.

My QB at half strength is better than your 2 QBs at full strength and he's going to be ready for the season. My 32 yr old RB led the league in rushing last year while your supersta was doing drugs around the World. Our draft was a good onbe, b/c we didn't have the #2 overall pick does not mean we did not have a good draft, time will tell. It's hard to tell who had a good draft until they prove it on the field but I think both of our teams did well.

12-4 is downright laugahble, even if things break perfect for yuo and the other 3 AFC East teams are ravagewd w/ injuries you will not win 12 games.

The ceiling I would say is 8 maybe 9 games. Looking at your sched:

Denver is a bit overrated but will still be tough for you, you aren't winning in Week 2, Carolina is very difficult, at Buf is a loss, at TB will be a good game, KC will be very tough, at NO will be tough, Atl will be very tough, you will no beat NE, at Cle is winnable, at oak will be difficult, Buf at home will be difficult, at SD is difficult, The Jets at home will be very difficult, and NE again will be a loss. Best case is probably 8, you'll probably be in the 5-8 range. This is how I see it now:

SEPT. 11 DENVER BRONCOS 1:00 P.M. CBS W(1-0)
Sept. 18 at New York Jets 4:15 p.m. CBS L(1-1)
SEPT. 25 CAROLINA PANTHERS 1:00 P.M. FOX L(1-2)
Oct. 2 Bye Weekend
OCT. 9 at Buffalo Bills 1:00 p.m. CBS L(1-3)
Oct. 16 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers 1:00 p.m. CBS W(2-3)
OCT. 23 KANSAS CITY CHIEFS 1:00 P.M. CBS L(2-4)
Oct. 30 at New Orleans Saints 1:00 p.m. CBS L(2-5)
NOV. 6 ATLANTA FALCONS 1:00 P.M. FOX L(2-6)
NOV. 13 NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS 1:00 P.M. CBS L(2-7)
Nov. 20 at Cleveland Browns 1:00 p.m. CBS W(3-7)
Nov. 27 at Oakland Raiders 4:05 p.m. CBS L(3-8)
DEC. 4 BUFFALO BILLS 1:00 P.M. CBS W(4-8)
Dec. 11 at San Diego Chargers 4:15 p.m. CBS L(4-9)
DEC. 18 NEW YORK JETS 1:00 P.M. CBS L(4-10)
DEC. 24 TENNESSEE TITANS 1:00 P.M. CBS W (5-10)
Jan. 1 at New England Patriots 1:00 p.m. CBS L(5-11)

I had no idea what to expext of your sched, that is tough. You will be lucky to win 7 games, I think ou'll get better as the season goes on and probably win 6 games and gain some momentum for the offseason and be legit playoff contendeers in 2006.

you can say that about every team every year. all NFL games are tough. I predict season by karma. This will be a good year for us. It just feels good.

The AFC East teams tend to have tougher scheds b/c we play 6 tough games in the div(usually). Like I wrote earlier my first thought was this is a 7-9 team then I looked at the sched and only found 5 but there will be a game or 2 or more that you will win that right now I don't think you should so my final prediction will probably be a very fair 7-9 for you guys.

As a BACKUP and he's better than your 2 QBs.

The Chargers played in a weak division and have the best RB in the game and Brees had at least shown flashes. The dolphins play in the toughest div, have an unproven rookie RB & who knows what you get out of ricky and Feeley has shown very little.

No I am realistic, I expect around 10-6.

I think you'll be much better but it may not reflect in the record, before looking at your sched I was going to predict 7-9 but looking at it it's tough. Things can change quickly and it may not be as tough as it looks but right now that's what I see.

hey man you have to realize that before you bash our QB´s , that the jets are only one hit away from jay fiedler as a starter, as an insider in that regard i can tell you, this is not good news....

Jay is a decent QB and one of the best backups in the league. As much as you guys try to ignore it he helped to win alot of games for you and I have posted his record a hundred times so I won't again but from '00-'03 when he played you won alot more than you lost and when he did not you lost more than you won and now he'll have more talent around him than he ever had in Miami so while he'll never be a great QB he can win games and if Chad was out for a few games he'd be fine. Remember we went 2-1 w/ Quincy Carter as our QB and Jay is by far better than Quincy.

I usually don't jump down people's throat...but I will.....

Listen.....YOU are wrong......get it through your head.

If I wore a junior G-man badge...it wouldn't be the same as somebody that was in the FBI....

SABAN has more coaching experience when taking this job with the fins than Carrol had when he took the job with the Jets. PERIOD.

Coaching DB's and being a DC for a retched Jets team does not come close to coaching Big time college football...it doesn't...IT JUST DOESN'T.

As for hanging...your arguements are usually garbage and you just pull stuff out your azz to justify them....Pretty Weak.

You know little of the Dolphins but yet you act like an authority....I have never understood why a jets fan would insist on trolling a Dolphins board...I just don't understand it....and for chiming in...This thread is for Dolphin fans...that is why the Title says "WE"...so go away and sign up on the gang green board because your trolling here is getting VERY OLD.
