I was so impressed with the secondary last night, I almost forgot about our 2nd best corner. Is Daniels supposed to see any action against St. Louis? Because if he doesn't, there is no way he'll be starting anytime soon the way Goodman is playing. Of the corners, I thought Jackson was the only weakness last night. But when Daniels comes back...Jackson will be relegated to the 4th corner position which makes me feel a little more comfortable.

Also, how about Tavares Tillman? This guy has been awesome so far. I thought for sure Bell would have the upper hand until Jason Allen gets ready, but Tillman may not lose that starting spot all season. Overall, I think the secondary is only going to get better and better as the season progresses.

Yeah they all played well v.s. Carolina and you have to think Jason Allen will only get better. Daniels will be ready for the start of the season and thats all that matters to me

is there really any hindsight out there that daniels will start in week 1 if so then provide a link please

All the TC reports I've read indicate Daniels SHOULD be ready to play by season opener, but no guarrantees. And no links, sorry.

I said a few months back that Tillman should start. This guy is a player and always seems to be around the ball. I think he is our best Db on the team currently, but after seeing how Will Allen played the other nite, i think both of them are allright. I will be patient with Allen, but in saying this i don't think he should start week 1 until he proves himself. I have seen him for two games now and im not impressed. This is what happens when you hold out.

My fave defensive back right now is Goodman. He has been excellent so far. I love Will Allen's tackling. I think Daniels is going to be the third corner. Eddie Jackson has been struggling but he is coming off an injury so hopefully it is a matter of getting the rust off and the timing down.

I agree on Tillman. I am surprised but then again he was solid last year too when Tebucky went down. I doubt that J Allen will start this year. But the kid has an excellent attitude and I expect alot from him long term.

My main concern relative to the secondary is depth at corner. The injury to Poole hurt us there. I wish we had another really good corner.

In a sense I hope that Daniels (so long as Goodman preforms well) is relegated to the nickel corner, since most of the time that reciever is a posession guy, and as we all know, TDaniels isn't the fastest corner in the league (we damn near have that with Will Allen), but either way I am sure we will make out just fine.

Yea I think Travis definetly will start the season as the nickel back, which is good, I always thought he is best covering the receiver in the slot anyways. Bascially taking the spot that Eddie Jackson looked ineffective in against Carolina (Jackson will be fine, but he is the 4th CB on this team, no doubts).
Goodman and Will Allen both have looked good. The safeties have looked good . . u know for all the flack this secondary has gotten, we got some quality guys back there man. And just imagaine when JAllen comes around fully . . . I like whatcha doin Nick, keep doing it.
