With the 49ers losing to OAK it seems as if Harbaugh is sure enough out of the building come next year. He does have 1 final year on his contract and it seems like a trade for him is imminent. So I ask what is the max compensation you would give up for Jim Harbaugh?

Personally I would give up a 1st round pick for him. He would impact this team 10 times more than whatever first round pick we have next year (unless you are getting Andrew Luck). Whatever it takes. I want this guy in Miami.

A 1st rounder will not be necessary. If I am not mistaken, the Browns were going to up a 3rd for him last year.

Don't want him regardless of compensation.

Why? If not him, who would you want? What better option is there assuming he is available?

Thankfully you have no input on team decisions.

Not saying this is what it will take, just wanted to gauge how bad people want him.

Clearly Harbaugh is an upgrade. But isn't anyone concerned over Kaepernick's regression? I heard Dilfer on radio say that Harbaugh was so tough on him that Kaepernick's confidence was broken by Harbaugh. Plus Dilfer said that Harbaugh thinks highly of Derek Carr. So if Harbaugh doesn't think likewise of Tannehill, I can't see Harbaugh choosing Miami over Oakland.

It is so easy to call someone our like this but at least have a statement as to why? You are better than that Daytona.

Harbaugh makes this team an instant contender. If you dont think that is worth a 1st round pick then what is?

Not sure who I want. Don't want to give RT a third system to learn. Not thrilled with Joe, but what I have seen from the Niners this year and the regression at QB I am not overly impressed with that HC. Plus he is a smash mouth guy and the current roster we have is not leaning that direction.

May be a bidding war between the Jets and Raiders at seasons end. It may take a first rounder.

He's **** the bed on the field, the locker room and with the FO, but yeah let's cough up some draft picks for this clown. :tubes:

Let's see, one SB appearance and three NFC title games appearances in his first four years as a coach. So how exactly has "he **** the bed on the field"? If he has done that, I don't even want to know what Philbin has done on the field.

1st round draft picks are too valuable to be tossing into the wind for a coach. Just sets the team further back in a highly competitive league. There will be plenty of quality candidates this year that can be hired without compensation , Malzahn would be my top choice.

From what I have read today, Harbaugh might be **** canned before the season is over.

Guy appears to be a control freak. If a team like the 49ers are willing to give him up that speaks volumes to me.

And a team that has gotten progressively worse during his tenure the last 3 years...from super bowl appearance, to NFC championship game to (most likely) out of the playoffs. Pretty quick decent if you ask me.

If Ross is willing to give Harbaugh FULL and COMPLETE control of the team then maybe it is a smart idea.

If not, why even bring him in? Harbaugh is getting chased out of San Fran because he wants COMPLETE control over the team and personel and players etc.

He wants the Bill Billicheat treatment.

He wants to be HC/OC/DC/GM/Player Personel/Scout, everything.

Toss in that I belive he has one year left on current deal?
