I think the plan is to keep Matt Moore, draft a young QB, and bring in a vet to compete in camp. I get a sense that Philbin and the Dolphins are not that high on Flynn or he'd be signed already.

While I think Moore is a solid guy and a back-up, he deserves a chance to compete in camp for the starting job.

Let the best man win in camp.

I have no idea what the plan is anymore.

I'm only speculating with my post of course.

The Dolphins seriously need a P/R guy. They can't keep the fans guessing and speculating. The more we question their moves, the more we dislike them.

I think that Philbin might be very high on Flynn, and that he will probably be the guy, but the Dolphins don't want to break the bank here.

When you bring in Alex Smith, that tells me you're trying to get leverage in negotiations. When you bring in David Garrard, that tells me you are playing hard-nosed hardball in those negotiations.

It is clear that Flynn is going to get much less than was expected if he wants to come to Miami. Those of you who were worried about a Kevin Kolb type contract, I think it's safe to say at this point, with the team flirting with David freaking Garrard, that that ain't gonna happen.

I think they view Flynn similar to Moore, and if they can't get Flynn for their price they are willing to move forward with Moore.

Flynn's definitely more accurate than Matt Moore. I think in that Green Bay WCO, that makes a huge difference. I think the reason they're basically flirting with every QB on the market is because they know they're going to have to move on from Moore.

I like Matt Moore, but the guy has deficiencies as a QB and I don't think he's suited for that Green Bay style offense.

Personally I hope it's Flynn. I think he has a lot of upside. I'm hoping I'm wrong about them not being high on him. I don't want to see Moore as the starter, but he deserves at least a chance to start in camp.

I think the Dolphins do in fact want Flynn but at a bargain rate.. Dangerous if they lose the guy the actually want but a favorable contract could allow us to sign another player or two. Smith could actually be a good signing but he's probably a more expensive option than Flynn.

Regardless, I think Ross is going to have a hard time selling the Dolphins to the fan base with Flynn or Smith but winning will bring'em back. With how cheap they're being, makes me wonder if we ever had the money to bring in Manning without gutting the roster.

They only wanted Manning if he fell into their laps. They would have made moves to clear space for Manning. However, the offense appears to be in rebuild mode and other teams are offering him a ton of money. We had no shot at him.

Yah regardless of what we do at QB, it's going to be really hard to sell tickets. Maybe they make a splash in the draft and get Blackmon or something like that.

I'm sure the Dolphins want all these QB's theyre bringin in at bargain rates...that tells me they arent sold on any of them as franchise QB's and have a plan to draft one in the near future

As long as the Phins draft Cousins or Weeden, I don't care who they sign at QB in FA.
