With everything that has happened in the off season, what is this teams identity going to be? Are they a running team? A passing team? just curious as there is little going on right now. I think that Brown will average 25-30 touches a game and be the face of the franchise. What do others think. The passing game should be tight but what will be the face of the franchise?

I think we will be a team that sets you up with the run then hits you with intermediate and deep passes through play action, and has a tough aggresive defense

I think we will be a team who you can't pinpoint one thing to stop and I think we will hide our weaknesses well. Like the Patriots seem to do

They'll all have their game faces on. Ask Coach Bobby Knight about game faces

I think that we will be that scrappie team that comes down to the wire on losses and destroys on wins we get. It should be a balanced attack with Ronnie carrying the ball 20-25 times where that could open up a big play aerial attack. Not to mention a aggressive rock solid defense. Improved special teams especially on KR (sorry Wes) with a new KR and Welker PR. Just my thought.

Saban wants a hard running, hit you in the mouth type offense and then when you're reeling a little from that, hit you downfield with intermediate to long passes...(very similar to what Pitts has done for a few years). We really did accomplish the running part of the equation and that should continue, even tho we won't have RW. We have Morris who is a hard runner (afterall, if he was able to average 4.0 ypc two years ago with that OL, he should do well with this version of the OL in relief of RB), KJ Harris is a big brusing back who has to show something and of course RB...KJ is the key here. Saban must have felt fairly comfortable with his progress since he didn't go after anyone in the draft. This combination of runnign backs could put our running game up close to where it was last year with RW.

The key with this offense will be DC. If he can execute at the level he was prior to 2005 and shake this injury, even tho it may be into the season before we see him, this would be a formidable offense that rams it down your throat until you say "uncle" and then hits the intermediate/long pass to kick you when you're down... Remember that Mularkey likes to use multiple RBs and pound the ball, then hit you with a trick play or long pass when you aren't expecting it...his problem in Buffalo was that he never had the QB...which, ironically was our issue last year as well. That's changed now...(when he returns...)
