The Miami Dolphins...for the 1st time EVER...are wearing their dark jerseys at a 1 PM home game!

I have written about his in the past...how Miami should wear their dark jerseys at 1 pm home games...just to prove how badass they are. I believe it is a mental advantage over the other team.

Last week...they played in their home whites against Pittsburgh...and won.
Today...They're wearing their colors...and look pretty good on their opening drive.

EXCELLENT! OUTSTANDING! WIN THE MENTAL GAME!
 
Um wearing dark uniforms in the heat isn't an advantage
 
I love the throwback uniforms they are as the kids say on point! The only downside is I'm not use to seeing them and I know we are playing Bills but my mind keeps thinking Jets.
 
Well the stadium has the Miami bench in the shade. Could become a new trend.

i think the fact that we have the shade on our side had a lot to do with this decision, Buffalo was still gassed!
 
Didnt they wear dark last year against New England. Last game of the season.

I should have qualified my observation with this.

It is the first time Miami has worn a dark jersey at 1 PM at home before December.

No it's not, they wore dark for all home games prior to 1972, and then sporadically for 1pm games thru at least the late 70s...

I have never been able to figure out why Shula so randomly sprinkled in aqua jerseys at times from 1972 to the 80's

I remember these games:

1972 Buffalo (when the bills wore their old all-white AFL gear with the standing red buffalo)
1973 Detroit
1974 Kansas City, Atlanta
1976 Rams, Buffalo (I was there) and it looked almost identical to yesterday's game
1980 49ers
1981 San Diego playoff that did not happen even though I was there

As much as I love the tradition white at home, it's nice to see some variety.
