What is wrong with Shadeur Sanders

I think his ceiling is more like a bigger more athletic Tua who has already proven he can take a pounding and stay upright. How would we feel about a consistently healthy Tua with more size and athleticism? They’re very similar passers. Accuracy, anticipation, and ball placement prowess, lacking a live arm but can still make all the throws. He’s good off script too.

I’ve always felt like Tua was his best pro comparison as a passer.

Personally, I’d have probably drafted him over Jaxson Dart….. not that I dislike Dart as a QB prospect. He’s got a lot of tools to work with (Dart) just a bit more raw, IMO.

Sanders is going to remain a fascinating story to follow. I’m very interested in seeing who pulls the trigger on him tonight. If I’m the New Orleans Saints….. I go up to 33 and get him.
Meh. First Sanders really isn't that much more athletic (people overrate because of Dad) and he is leass athletic then Tua before the injury.

Now for the massive difference as prospects. 1 throwing with anticipation, Tua in college was on a different level, as he throws guys open, Sanders waiting for guys to come open. Hence the he holds onto.the ball to long knocks on him and a horrible TTT of over 3 seconds. The other major difference downfield throwing. Tua was one of the highest rated passers in the history of college on throws 20+air yards. Sanders was like 50th in college last season on throws 20+air yards and completed only like 24%.

Hey come on man. This guy was Kipers #1 on his not so big board. Lol
Right now the NFLN is interviewing a pro wrestling dude about the Sanders situation. Any connection between the NFL and anyone connected to pro wrestling means the league has sunk as low as it can go.

The son of Sanders is a negative. I think he has the physical skills but the time he has any sucess he will want a huge contract.
Not that it matters, but every QB now gets ridiculous contracts. Even Daniel Jones. Also miserable for injury prone QBs.

But I agree, far too much "family" getting brought with him.

I have a spoiler alert for you on what Tua ended up being worth. The accurate comparison to how they play the position is why no one is jumping to take Sanders in round one.

Tua wouldn’t go in round one now either

Going for the history rewrite approach, huh?

Good luck with that. 😝

Japan and Germany won WWII. Hope that helps your argument. 😂

If we hadn't picked him, he wouldn't have gone round one either.

Looks like Sanders is the betting favorite to be the 33rd pick to the Browns, who will also be picking 36th courtesy of the Jaguars.

I wouldn't take Sanders at all. He's got all of Tua's weaknesses, plus holding the ball forever. He'd die behind our offensive line, and his arrogance would cause an issue in the locker room fast.

Just imagine, growing up as Neon Deions son

How freaking cool. HOF beast of a DB. Decent baseball player. Entertaining to watch.

Now flash forward and realize having him as your father is a big reason you don't get drafted in the first. Well, that and talent.

The irony is also the only reason he was talked about as a 1st rounder was because of his father.

There's nothing wrong with Shedeur, it's the medias fault for obsessing over him so much due to his position and who his father is.

He was always the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th QB prospect in a 1 QB draft class, but media always hypes up the challengers, especially moreso since it's primetime's kid.

The sport media is at fault. He's going to be drafted today, and will have the chip of motivation to push him going forward. I hope he goes to a team that will utilize his skills and proves the naysayers wrong.
