What kind of QB is Jon Kitna??

I have noticed alot of talk about Jon Kitna being a great veteran QB to bring in as a Qb next year....

I dont really remember much about him. What type of QB is he? Does he have a good arm? His stats didnt look to bad in Seattle or Cinci. Is he an improvement over Gus?
 
I don't think he's a long term answer shoot he isn't a short term answer.

QB's will have jobs and stay with teams if they can play. I don't think he's good enough.

He can put up some numbers but not consistantly
 
You're better off sticking with Frerotte for short term than bringing in Kitna.

Kitna would have to learn the system. I would rather keep Gus he already knows the system. Then IF we draft a QB we only have to worry about the rook learning the system.
 
Thats the feeling I was getting....

Not exactly the improvement I was hoping for next year.

What do you guys think of Tim Rattay....I remember being impressed with him when he was with the Niners.....
 
He's more accurate than Frerotte, less mobile and has a slightly less powerful arm
 
He had a MVP type season in 2003, and if they wouldn't have drafted Carson that year he would clearly be their starter. I can't believe you guys don't think he is better than Frerotte. But then again most of you think Sage is better, so I shouldn't be too surprised.
 
I don't think we should be looking for other teams shoulda coulda woulda QB.

there are guys playing in other leagues that can step up and play if given the opportunity.
 
Brad Johnson? Stick with Gus or even see how Cleo does competing to be a starter. Sage will probably be traded to another team for a decent draft choice. This off season will be interesting.
 
he isnt better than gus at all

Career Kitna- 108 TD's 102 INT's

Career Gus- 91 TD's 77 INT's


gus has a FAR better TD to INT rate

The guy has a SuperBowl ring and just led a a 2-5 team to 6 wins in a row. Yeah Gus is just as good
