Personally, I grew up in South Florida in the 70's and 80's. I remember going absolutely nuts over games like the Monday Night shootout with Dallas and pulling my hair out over the greatest game ever against San Diego (even though we lost it was awesome to watch). I didn't just want to be a Dolphins fan....I wanted to be a Dolphin. Ofcourse that dream fizzled as I got older, but there is no other team in any other sport that can get me so excited or pissed off than the Dolphins. I guess I turn back into that kid in Lauderdale every time I watch them play. Win or lose, they are my team. I hurt when they lose and I feel great when they win. And when they win ALOT this year I will be there watching the bandwagons get overloaded. For those of us who are faithful, just remember, the life of a bandwagon fan is a passionless, empty, shell of a fan.

Does checking this site 20 times a day qualify?

Hmmmm..... lemme see.....

-First player I ever knew by name was Dan Marino.
-I watch games from kick off to the final minute (unless some emergency comes up, like with Family, ya know?)
-I checked this site 20 times a day, at least.
-When I go on the internet, this is the first website I'm on.
-Of course, I sport my Ronnie Brown jersey whenever the Dolphins win, and when they lose.
-I wore that same jersey when I went to the my soon-to-be in-laws house to watch the Super Bowl (nothing like football for family bonding.:D)
-I can't stand the Pansies, Jests, or Jills. (depending on the week, order is subject to change).
-When asked who I think are some of the best defensive players right now, the player that comes to mind is either JT or ZT.

I have that BURNING desire inside to win.

And when we don't, I get a complete emptiness inside me and life feels meaningless for one week.

I wake up every morning thinking how good we can be this year, and go to bed every night dreaming of the Fins hosting an AFC Championship and going to the Superbowl.

When the Dolphins do lose, and my anger, sadness, emptiness, etc... is on display, and someone tells me, "Lighten up, it's just football," or, "It's just a game," I want to punch them as hard as I can in the face. I want to push them off of a cliff.

They have no idea what it means to put time, effort, work, money and a lot of times literal sweat into a team, an organization, a group of people who form something way bigger than yourself, and the sense of pride it gives you to represent them, cheer them on and live for them.

When my family talks about boring, mundane things, I just want to talk Dolphins football.
All I hear is "Blah blah blah..." and inside my head I'm really thinking, "Man I can't wait to see Ronnie Brown and Daunte Culpepper on offense this year. God I bet Channing Crowder is going to explode this season."

I make the trek from New Orleans to Miami at least once a year, (if I could afford to do it more, I would), to go to a game. I sit in the nosebleed section and cheer as loud as I can.

I have never once left a Dolphins game with my voice intact.

I love this team with everything I have. I missed my sister's family wedding shower/party because we were playing the Green Bay Packers.

I want the Dolphins to win the Super Bowl more than anything.

...Now, you tell ME what it takes to be a Die-Hard fan.

:yeahthat: Also, when everyone in your family tries to convert you to a Browns Fan.

Fanatic

I've loved these guys for 34 years. My son was born in the perfect season. He'll tell you that's the only way I know his birth year. I always wear my jerseys on game days, light aqua & orange candles I even drink out of a Dolphin cup. I cry when they lose and stay depressed through the next day. I have a Dolphin room, with all my pictures, starting line up figures, you name it it's there. MY wallpaper & screen saver is Dolphin. Our bed room and bath are dolphin colors. Hopefully I'll be getting my car painted aqua real soon. There's never been another team for me. Everyone says I've brain washed my kids, but that's ok, their both smart and know I'd put them up for adoption, if they pulled for any other team :sidelol: :sidelol: This site is great, never dreamed I'd find other fans to talk to. I'm in GA and all that's here are Falcon fans.
Talk to you guys later.

Closest I've ever been to Miami is Disneyworld, but still been a Dolphins fan in a Patriots household since age 6.

Wear my Dolphins gear with pride, win or lose.

Had a "Broncos Day" at work when the Bronc's played the Patriots in the playoffs... Wore my Dolphins gear... Even though I hate the Broncos more than any other team, still couldn't bring myself to wear my brother's Pats jersey...

Have a stuffed Miami Dolphin that I've had for 20 years... Still comes out on game day... :D

have u been in oakland raider home game against my die hard dolphine's, anyboddy who no's about dem oakland fan's no wat im talking about, put it like dis,we was kicking *** on football field, i was kicking there *** in da seat's,was kick out by half time, dis was da97 or 96 season was there last yr 2,whan fin's come out here im there AFC champ's BABBY

I think sitting at home and work chatting with fellow fin fans on a computer about the team we love makes us all a little crazy.

BUT I LOVE IT!

I grew up watching and admiring Dan the Man.... It feels like he's family or something lol. I'm sure there were alot of you who felt like I did at the HOF ceremony.

But the abilty to stick through infinite 4-12 seasons, all while knowing that there will never be another, makes me a DIE HARD Dolphins fan..

Now I may be a dolphin Looney! I have a game time jersey I've worn on every game day since high school, 16 years, ( it helps being the same size I was back then. I live in NY and have been to the draft twice, they never seem to pick in the top ten and select the players there when I've gone. I have aoutographed pictures of JT, ZT,Chambers, Madison, Surtain, Marino, Ricky, Webb, Simms and Mare. I own 12 diferent team jerseys, and 3 Marino. I have an autographed Marino jersey hanging in my den with all my pictures, his rookie card, his draft card from Pitt, autographed mini helmets of his from miami and pitt, mini helmets from Mark Clayton and Mark Duper. In 2003 i got a tatoo of taz throwing his helmet to the ground wearing Marinos Jersey. I've watched them play in NY(8 times), Tenn. Ind, NE, Buffalo, and KC. ( never in Miami though, go figure, I hope that changes this year ) and last but not least, it is stated in my will to be creamated in my Marino jersey I bought in 83 when he was drafted, never worn with tags. and my wife is to fly to Miami and sprinkle my ashes at the feet of his statue in front of the stadium.

If anyone has ever watched football games on NFL.COM with the little football, the endzones, and scoreboard and updated stats. I did that for the past 4 or 5 years of my life,i live in philly, i'm not 21, and no direct tv.
Last year was killer, with no primetime games!!!!!!

I think that's dedication. Not anymore, i just got the sunday nfl package, and i'll be 21 by the start of next season.
