I am not one of these guys who likes to second guess draft picks that we "should have taken" after seeing how they perform two years down the road. However, I was thinking at work this week about what might have been for us dolphin fans in a perfect world.

Instead of having Henne, Ronnie Brown, and Ginn we had the opportunity to pick over the last three years Quinn, McFadden, and Braylon Edwards. Don't know how Brady Quinn will turn out but that three, I have to admit, does sound a little more exciting than what we actually have.

Oh well, let's hope Henne turns out the way we all think he can. I see a lot of stardom in the young man concerning his accuracy and arm strength and leadership character. Let's hope Ronnie stays healthy and gets the opportunities to run. He has the potential to be a bigtime back if those things happen. Ginn, don't know yet if he can be anything special. However, at the very least he should be given the kick (both kickoff and punt) return job because we know he can take it to the house.

Henne? Do you mean Long? McFadden was gone way before Henne was taken.

You are right. But we could have drafted McFadden and Henne together and put them with Braylon Edwards. Anyway I am glad we have Henne over Quinn. Henne looks much better to me.

Exactly Henne has nothing to do with this argument and we don't need McFadden. I would have rather had Willis before Ginn but it is too early to declare that Henne and Ginn are busts.

Neither of our RBs have had the chance to run the ball consistently since the season started.

if we can get crabtree in this years draft than that would be amazing and i would take a ronnie ,henne, ginn, and crabtree any day over the others. crabtree is gonna be better than braylon i cant catch a ball edwards. henne is gonna be better than brady im a crybaby with a weak arm quinn. and i love dmac but he isnt a beast like brown is between the tackles

Not declaring anyone a bust. In fact I have high hopes for Henne because I sense he could a special QB. Still hoping for Ginn and I agree about Ronnie not being able to run consistently. He can be an outstanding back if given the chance and he stays healthy. If we can draft Crabtree from Texas Tech next draft that would be great.

just a little tidbit braylon edwards lovers the guy dropped the ball a lot at michigan had a great year last year somehow and now already has 7 drops in 2 games

I don't know, in the long run, Brown/Ginn/Henne could be better then McFadden/Edwards/Brady.

Edwards had a great year in 07, but so far this year has dropped a lot of balls, Ginn has not had many balls thrown his way in the 1st 2 years, but of the few, he has dropped balls very rarely. Edwards has reached his peak, while Ginn is still learning the position, and getting used to the speed of the NFL, so what we see now is nothing compared to what we will see in a year of 2.

Both Brady and Henne have been riding the bench, so we do not know how they look in an actual NFL game other then 1 game each late this year. Both are smart, both have size, Brady is more mobile, Henne has a better arm, so to this point all we know is that in the brief time each has been in a game, Brady has a 56.8 QB rating, and Henne has a 74.0 QB rating.

As far as Ronnie and Darren, I have not seen anything that McFadden can do running the ball, that Ronnie can not also do, but as far as Receiving and blocking, I don't think McFadden is on Ronnie's level. The Only thing that Darren has over Ronnie is that he is yet to get injured.

eh, no thanks. I'll stick with what we have.

While we MIGHT have been better off at WR, RB, and QB, we would be worse at both the RT and LT positions. Since we wouldn't have Long at LT, Carey would have to move over there. Then Carey's replacement at RT would be a downgrade as well.

Besides....if we hadn't taken Brown in 05, what would we have done at the RB position for the last 3 years? We would have McFadden NOW, but he wouldn't have been here in 05, 06, or 07.

Let's see....in 2005 we had Chambers and Booker at WR and Minor and Morris at RB....I think it's clear why Brown was taken over Edwards.
