I don't get this mindset. How the **** is Philbin responsible for Incog being an idiot? I mean if it comes out that Philbin knew and didn't do anything that is one thing, but I don't think so. These guys are grown ****ing men and this isn't a HS locker room. There is some autonomy in the NFL and Philbin isn't a micro manager on their personal lives around football, he's said that.

Philbin has zero culpability in this, with the information that is currently at hand.

How does Philbin not get any blame? Hell, everyone here crucified Rex for what happened with the Jets.
 
It's possible that Joe tried to act correctly here and that Martin's original conversation with him was productive. That's possible. It's possible that Incognito started harassing him more privately and that this is recent stuff that the team just found out about. That's possible.

But again, Joe needs to give some compelling explanations right now if I'm to believe that.

Can you be more specific on the Rex incident? There's been plenty...

How is Philbin responsible for texts and voice mails? Has anyone come to Philbin prior to this news coming out? Did Turner or Sherman know, and if they did was Philbin informed? Do any of you that are calling for his head even know the answers to these questions? Nope... just pushing some personal agenda.

From what I see, as soon as our staff found out they suspended the culprit and I believe he will be removed from the team and Martin will return.

I haven't seen one bit of trustworthy news that indicates Philbin is to blame for any of this. Please provide it before you call for a mans job.

Wait, maybe I'm missing something. You're saying Martin has already had a conversation with Philbin regarding this in the past? And it continued to happen?
 
What next? I guess you continue on as the fans we have been and cheer for a team that can't get it together at any cross road ever. That is the way it is starting to seem.

All of it in general, Rex was blamed for everything, and I understand why. The coach is the one that needs to control the locker room, and the players. There is some blame to be put on Philbin, but IMO, he doesn't look like he has a backbone to put his players in place. And BTW, this is going to trump anything that happened to the Jets the past couple of years.

Yep, Martin met with Philbin in the spring to discuss issues (we're not sure what it was specifically). It was posted yesterday.
 
What's next? A head chopping the likes of which haven't been seen since the French Revolution. Brace yourselves kiddies, I see a major house cleaning, from top to bottom.
 
About to hit the snooze button and wake up for the 2014 season...

I disagree completely. All we have so far is a notoriously bad player behaving badly.

National media is skewering the Dolphins now... Herm Edwards called out Philbin saying that a coach should hear about stuff like this because "players talk"... Philbin doesn't have pulse of team, and that is a problem.

I just don't see how Ross will keep this crew around after getting a national black eye like this. He HAS to be seething after all the money he spent on this team. And you just know home games will be a wasteland for the rest of the season.
