What next?

I don't get this mindset. How the **** is Philbin responsible for Incog being an idiot? I mean if it comes out that Philbin knew and didn't do anything that is one thing, but I don't think so. These guys are grown ****ing men and this isn't a HS locker room. There is some autonomy in the NFL and Philbin isn't a micro manager on their personal lives around football, he's said that.

Philbin has zero culpability in this, with the information that is currently at hand.

Dabble in hyperbole much?

If Martin went to Joe with this then he is definitely responsible. Being the head coach he is responsible for the entire team and everything that goes on. This hazing thing also happened when Don Shula was coach. According to Armando Tim Bowens had his bags packed and was going home because he didn't want to sing during training camp. Coach Shula immediately put an end to the hazing. Man do I miss Coach Shula.

Yep, Martin met with Philbin in the spring to discuss issues (we're not sure what it was specifically). It was posted yesterday.

Well regardless, I think we need to find out what it was. And get something more official until we start calling for our coaches job.

It's a shame some of our fans want to see a season, that is still not even close to being over, crash and burn just so they can get what they want.

National media is skewering the Dolphins now... Herm Edwards called out Philbin saying that a coach should hear about stuff like this because "players talk"... Philbin doesn't have pulse of team, and that is a problem.

I just don't see how Ross will keep this crew around after getting a national black eye like this. He HAS to be seething after all the money he spent on this team. And you just know home games will be a wasteland for the rest of the season.

Where was the blowhard Edwards when Hernandez was murdering people? Don't remember him stating Belichick should have know about all the s*** that lowlife was doing.

I completely agree. If Joe knew and this continued then sure, he holds some responsibility here.

So here's a scenario. Martin met with Philbin, Philbin spoke with Incog, it continued and Martin left. Now Incog is suspended. It's not like Joe is defending the dude here...

I'm just not seeing a fireable offense, yet...

You act as if this is the only issue some of us have with the leadership (front office and coaches)....this is just one of many things that leads me to believe that Philbin and Ireland are not meant to be in charge of a professional franchise.

I'm waiting for a photo to show up of Philbin sporting a tattoo of his wife in an Incognito jersey

We have only gotten better under Philbin. I'm sorry, he doesn't deserve to be fired. He is doing a fine job so far. He is in his second year with a second year QB and a ton of young, new talent on the team.

Marvin Lewis has been trying to build a winner for 11 years and hasn't made it past the first round of the playoffs. Get the hell out of here if you think you can convince me Philbin deserves to be fired based on what we've seen on the field.

I'm just of the mindset in general that you don't fire a coach before two years unless it is something egregious (which I don't think this incog situation is yet). It takes time to build a yearly contender. And Philbin is good damn coach that comes from a superbowl contender. You guys are too reactionary and would make bad owners in your own right, with this type of mindset.

That would involve Philbin having a personality and we know Philbin lacks one of those....

Lack of institutional control my friend, Philbin looks like a person that lets his players walk all over him.

Bad analogy. Was Hernandez murdering people in the locker room or the team's cafeteria? Did Hernandez murder a teammate?
If either of those two things happened, then Belichick should have known that level of animosity existed on his team and dealt with it, but as far as I know, neither of those things happened.

What Incognito was doing was to a teammate, not a stranger with no connections to the organization. It was happening both on and off team grounds. And while it might not be fair to blame Philbin for being unaware of what was going on off team grounds, it certainly reasonable to find some fault with Philbin for being unaware of the parts that were happening under his nose.

I dunno man, do you watch football? I'm not going to write an essay on why I think the Dolphins are moving in a positive direction. We're a few FGs away from a nice record last year. And we're 4-4, have beaten two teams analysts believe are superbowl contenders in the Colts and Bengals, despite terrible OLine play. I believe we will finish with a positive record this year and are still obviously in it for a wildcard berth.

Ok, you're telling me that little bit of information that I wrote up is enough to fire the guy in the second year? I'm not saying give him 10 more years, but FIRE him now? Based on what?! I don't get it. You're the one that needs to convince me... You're the one that wants the guys gone in a year and half. He must have done something really bad in your eyes to want that. Cause you don't build a winner with turnover like that.

Please give me some examples as to how this is true. I see nothing but hyperbole and speculation here.

Doesn't matter what any of us say, its going to be bad for the Dolphins coming up. Teams handle thing in house, for the Dolphins to ask the league for help just means that s*** is going to hit the fan!
