What next?

In EVERY single case of someone being pushed PAST their breaking point... There is evidence of a complete SYSTEMATIC breakdown... IN EVERY SINGLE CASE whether it is in a high school or an NFL locker room. This means that there is ZERO support system from 'the point of view' of the victim. Whether or not there is a tangible support system is in place is completely irrelevant when the person does not feel they can access it.

I think it is Crystal Clear that Jonathan Martin did not feel he had ANYONE to turn to for help or advice in this situation. That means Team Leaders and it means Coaching Staff and and it means management.

This is a young team... Tannehill is only in his second season... Who has the respect to command that room? In fact Incognito should have been one of the veteran leaders in that locker room which would go a long way to explain as to how he got away with this kind of behavior and why younger players might fear to stand up to him... Honestly I have to wonder if this would have played out this way if a Dansby or a Long were still here...

Doesn't matter what any of us say, its going to be bad for the Dolphins coming up. Teams handle thing in house, for the Dolphins to ask the league for help just means that s*** is going to hit the fan!

That's what I thought. You're making baseless claims, sound like skip bayless.

Whatever! I'll let everyone pile on Philbin. He will not be fired for this unless something new breaks that puts this over the top.

I don't know what I want more anymore. Philbin to succeed because I'm a Dolphins fan or Philbin to succeed so I can **** on all of you for being so quick to dismiss him.

Who cares.. this team has been mediocre for over a decade and now they want to be in the media for this bullish...Thank lord the Miami Heat are back because the Dolphins are going down the road of the Jets clown show.

I dunno man, do you watch football? I'm not going to write an essay on why I think the Dolphins are moving in a positive direction. We're a few FGs away from a nice record last year. And we're 4-4, have beaten two teams analysts believe are superbowl contenders in the Colts and Bengals, despite terrible OLine play. I believe we will finish with a positive record this year and are still obviously in it for a wildcard berth.

Ok, you're telling me that little bit of information that I wrote up is enough to fire the guy in the second year? I'm not saying give him 10 more years, but FIRE him now? Based on what?! I don't get it. You're the one that needs to convince me... You're the one that wants the guys gone in a year and half. He must have done something really bad in your eyes to want that. Cause you don't build a winner with turnover like that.

Please give me some examples as to how this is true. I see nothing but hyperbole and speculation here.

I don't want Joe fired. I just don't understand how he could have not known about all this, and if he did how come he did not put an end to it the way Coach Shula did. If there is another situation fixing to come out how can Joe survive?

Let's let this one play itself out before we pass any judgement on anyone from players to coaches, to GM. Of course the press is going to eat this up and jump on any rumor as fact. So let's let it play out and see what really transpired and who knew/said what when. With so many people watching this with a magnifying glass, I doubt they will be able to cover anything up. Sad thing is, now that they've opened the door with this, the press is going to be looking for anything to jump on, and we all know every team has their own issues which never normally hit the press.

You're right, this could get worse. Lets (or I) just hope it doesn't. I think Philbin and our FO have taken the right steps in suspending Incog and getting the league involved in quickly resolving the matter. A lot of people are saying this should be solved "in house", and I agree for most incidents they should be but this has legal ramifications with contracts. I could understand why they would want the league involved at this point.

We need something more official to come out, that's for sure.

Bad analogy. Was Hernandez murdering people in the locker room or the team's cafeteria? Did Hernandez murder a teammate?
If either of those two things happened, then Belichick should have known that level of animosity existed on his team and dealt with it, but as far as I know, neither of those things happened.

What Incognito was doing was to a teammate, not a stranger with no connections to the organization. It was happening both on and off team grounds. And while it might not be fair to blame Philbin for being unaware of what was going on off team grounds, it certainly reasonable to find some fault with Philbin for being unaware of the parts that were happening under his nose.

You're wrong.

You don't think Hernandez, in the midst of his murdering and gun running, was putting off a vibe that could be sensed?

No, this is what happens when a racist schmuck turns the workplace into a hostile environment.

What do you know about the situation? I'll answer that for you--nothing. How about waiting for actual facts coming out before you sound off as if you're present at the Dolphin facility.

I get the feeling we are going to be hit with even more information about Incognito and what he did as a player to his teammates. If what happen to Martin is true, he can't be the first one to experience and I would not be surprise to see even more information come out about it.

Are you Richie's other dad?

All this because Martin is a wuss...man up and punch Cogs in the face if he treated you that bad...the worst is a 6'5 350 lb crybaby winer.

I am not asking for him to be fired, but if your coach doesn't know whats going on in the locker room, then there is a major issue.

I'm asking for him to be fired. Another supposed offensive line guru who consistently fields the worst line in the league on a weekly basis. No control over the locker room...worries about gum wrappers but lets THIS go on in his locker room. No putting his foot down with an offensive coordinator who doesn't seem to be able to coordinate himself out of a paper bag.

But yeah, let's have some patience and keep this guy around because it's worked so well with previous coaches such as Wanny and Sparano
