Everyone on here is complaining that we only ran the ball 17 or so times on Sunday. Doesn't anyone realize that we barely had the ball on offense? The Falcons clearly dominated the time of posession. We couldn't get our D off the field.

When were these mysterious other 15 to 20 offensive plays that we could have run the ball with? They didn't exist!

I don't agree with our offensive strategy of pass first run second. But, clearly, due to that same strategy we were limited on offensive plays. We should have been running it instead of passing it but that's a whole seperate issue.

well, maybe less end arounds and reverses will enable us to get more first downs? There is one suggestion. running a double reverse is saying to the other team, we cant win with our two great RB's. We need some kind of trick play that takes fifteen seconds to develope. There is no way around it. the playcalling sucked aside from just running down there gullet!

It's not only Vs. the Falcons. R&R barely get the ball week in and week out. They only combine for 25-30 runs a game, which is definately not enough.

Atl TOP-36:15 Mia TOP-23:45....doesn't seem that dominating

Ahh....13 minutes....yeah it does. It was.

Saban addressed this to a T. We didnt possess the ball on offense for that many plays all total.

We had a total of 47 plays on offense. (Atlanta had 72). We ran the ball 25 times. We passed 22 times. We ran more than we passed. If we werent 0-9 on 3rd down certainly we possess it longer. Our D gave up 11 of 17 3rd down attempts.

You cant run (or pass) if you dont have the ball. Saban also stated while our rushing attack was successful, at times based on down and distance and formation they were stuffing the box with 8 guys. That D calls for a pass, you should be able to pass at a more successful rate than run in those situations. They were daring us to pass.

I dont know how you can run the ball more if you dont have the ball to begin with. Would you claim that of the 47 plays more than 53 % should have been runs? Ok, what %, 60%...so you are demanding 3 more runs? Its still small potatoes.

How many runs does it take for Ronnie or Ricky to break one and take it to the house?

The same as it takes one pass.......

Its the execution, not the play calling.

If the dolphins were in the same situation as the chiefs, would you rather them run or pass?

how many of those runs were end arounds and double reverses?

Listen, we failed to execute...not just on one play at 3 & 2 from the ATL 7. That simply was the last offensive play we attempted and failed on, but it wasnt the only one. We failed to execute on many many many more, both on offense and defense.

Its a 60 minute game. Execution, execution, execution!

(I wanted, expected, and thought they would run in that situation, they didnt, the decision was a PA pass, it didnt work, what can you do....its over with).

Hey if our D stops them on their last 3rd down attempt we still had time on the clock to perhaps try again to score and tie it up. That play failed also. Are you ticked at that Defensive play call?

Its all part of the big picture.

2nd and 3. double reverse. The playcalling sucked bad.

Okay, I don't disagree with your post, my point is go with your bread and butter. I think it was just Linehan, again trying to be tricky, instead of just pounding it.
