If the New England Patriots fail to the win the AFC East title, who would you place atop the (AFC East) standings come the end of the regular season? What of the Dolphins...?

Just a thought.

Hopefully Brady is suspended first 4 games

After last season I've tempered my expectations a lot. I think we have the right pieces in place, most of them at least. We still need some defensive pieces and a guard, but I am hopeful we will compete in the next 2 or 3 years. If anyone takes out the pats this year it likely won't be us. Maybe the jills? The jets could be pretty good if they can figure out wtf they are doing at qb. Maybe they already have, I don't follow the jests.

This is what I have been thinking the last 27 years.

The Jets have an outside shot to win the division, I think. People are under the insane impression that Ryan Fitzpatrick is good and that the Jets will suffer without him. Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker will both catch air mail just as easily from Gen0.

New England won't fail, so it's moot.

We're going to win 4-5 games this year, so it wouldn't be us anyway.

Hope this helps.

I think our offense will definitely potent, we will look much better as a vertical team. Stills over the top, DVP and Cameron on the 50-50s and seam throws, Landry over the middle, all the while Ajayi on the draws/screens and RT on scrambles. Oline seems to be improved as well on paper. On defense we seem to fit better, matching an attacking front 7 with physical corner play will hopefully force errant throws and limit the run game. I see us surprising to be honest.

What if my aunt had balls, she'd be my uncle.

St. Louis Cardinals. Your premise is flawed ... the Cheatriots are going to win ... again. But I think the Cardinals have as much of a chance to win our division as the Dolphins, Bills or Jets ... so sure ... why not?

I had a feeling Fitzpatrick would have a good year for the Jets. He had always shown flashes but was very inconsistent. I saw him get more efficient under Bill O'Brien. Fitz made the statement prior to last year that he learned more from B'OB than he had learned in his entire career up to that point. His game last year proved that point. He found a great fit with Chan Gailey. I think the Jets are nuts not to sign him. They will tank without him, IMO. Gene Smith, Pettty and Hackenberg? I don't think so.

They will suffer big time in the run game after losing the best run stuffer in the NFL to the Giants. (The guy I wanted Miami to sign). That and the fact they have no marquise pass rusher. I see them with 7 to 8 wins.

Tyrod Taylor may be serviceable this season but teams will figure him out this year as he becomes yet another in a long line of one year wonders. Outside of Sammy Watkins they have no passing game. Charles Clay is the next best receiver. Watkins is already injured again with a broken foot. Teams will stack the box to sop their best weapons in the run game. 7 to 8 wins for the side show with Rex Ryan.

Beyond that, I am still waiting for the decline of Tom Brady. Can't wait for it actually!

Jets. 10-6 last year.

....Jets 4-12 the year before, and as quickly as a team can go from bad to good, they can go right back to bad. Considering the Jets will need another great year from the worlds most inconsistent QBs, 9-5 or better for the Jets might be a bit too much to expect, but their defense will keep them in plenty of games.

Rex Ryan is riding another team to mediocrity, and as always I expect the Bills to get off to a nice start before they fail.

Miami may not have a better defense then the Bills, and Jets, but their Offense should be better if the O-line is fixed...Big if, I know.

My guess then becomes if the Pats don't end up winning the east, then it will be up to the Miami Dolphins O-line, if they are better in pass-blocking at the very least this year, Miami has a chance to take it, if their not, then it's probably the Bills.
