I know it's early but I can't stop thinking about how good we'll be when we find Saban's QB. I think we can unanimously say that the Phins big off season aquisition will be a QB whether in FA or the Draft. My question is, what other teams need a starting QB?
The teams that I know need a QB:
Jets - Pennington just ain't the guy he's made of pre-fragmented china.
Baltimore - Kyle Boller doesn't seem to be fitting well with them.
Saints - Depending upon if they change coaches they may get rid of Brooks.
Arizona - ?
The wild cards that we don't know but could be huge spoilers because of their records if they choose to make a QB switch:
Houston - might go after Young Quinn or Leinhart. But if they do, that could free up David Carr who I'd put in a Phins uniform in a south beach second.
Detroit - Joey Herrington is about to get knifed on the street up there. Maybe a new coach makes him into a better QB. Their record isn't great so if they do QB they'll be plucking someone before us in the draft.
Minnesota - Culpepper isn't getting much love after the way he played before his injury. Now Brad Johnson is lighting it up in the Met. Maybe they switch maybe they don't. I think they'd stay with DC but I had to add it just in case.
The available QB's I would consider are : David Carr (if available), Matt Scahub from ATL, Quinn from the draft (if he declares), Leinhart (duh), Vick Young.
How do we structure it so we can get our guy knowing we may be picking between 15 - 20 something?
