what pisses me off about feeley....

That throw did actually look good...a taaaad outside though.

It wasn't horrible. But when a guy is open like that in the NFL, you gotta hit him....because you may not get that shot again.

Made up for it just now. :)

There's your deep pass!

Sweeeeet. Thats what we want from him....to nto get rattled under pressure. Too bad it was against the 2nd and 3rd stringers but hey progress is progress right.

i retract my statement two good throws...shoulda both been touchdowns..first was a little to the left oh well...feeley should be good...he should be given the start tho

Thats what makes a good NFL QB. Im saying Feeley has it yet because of one pass but progress is good. The ability to throw a horrid pass....and then make it up with a great read/ throw.

No my idea of a good QB is a guy whos 5 year career completion avg. is OVER 55% and has a higher QB rating than 65. Relax...im poking fun at Feeley because the guy looks like a deer in headlights whenever he sees a blitz. Thats why he SUCKS....he'll never comprehend the pro-game.

Well, he just faced the blitz, pump faked, and threw a perfect TD pass.

Just messing with ya. ;)

Seriously, A.J. has looked really confident tonight. But it is the 2nd/3rd team. So we really can't put too much stock in it.

When you compare it to his play from last week along with Gus's last 2 performances plus Gus's game when he played as the 2nd then it's pretty clear A.J. should get the start next week.

When it's this close go with the youth and the 2nd round pick and make sure you 'aren't' getting your value outta him before blowing that eventual first/2nd rounder on a QB next year.

I must say that was a beautiful TD pass against the blitz...AJ..you da man.

Im glad you threw in the just messing with ya...i was ready to bust out the Feeley bashing stick. You are right though...he's looked more confident tonight than he has in a while. I see two things happening here reeeeal quick. 1) Either Feeley is just looking good because there are 2nd and third stringers in there( which i hope it isnt). All he needs is confidence the kid has talent....or 2) We might have Woodstrock part 2. With the starter always looking kinda shaky but the reliever coming in with confidence and brings the Fins back to life. Doh!

I agree. He definitely should start next week. The unfortunate thing is that the rest of the starters won't play much.

That sounds like Doug Flutie.

True. The rut you throw in is that these subpar defenders don't play at the same speed and skill level as the starters. So the game should be easier for a skilled veteran QB.

Feeley has been impressive. He just looks so much more confident and relaxed tonight. The confidence part is what really lifts me up.

I agree with you someone though. He needs to let it rip once in a while like Gus does.

I think it may be a matter of retraining him. I've noticed that when Gus gets blitzed he throws long. He knows the offense better. That may be what Linehan expects.

On the other hand, many offenses call for hot routes on blitzes and those routes tend to be short.

As a Dolfan, I'm not sure about the west coast offense's blitz philosophy. Feeley was mentored as a west coast guy in Philly and last year... Well, there were no hot reads and there was no blocking. All he could do is try and get rid of the darn ball.

 Nah, I'm always a fence, wait and see guy. I only want what's best. I could care less who it is.

Woodstrock. NOOO!! Though it would be cool to have a QB on the team who's nickname is Stroker. lol

I think confidence has a lot to do with it. Certainly you get more confortable with anything as time goes on (like the offense). He's been thru frustration. he's been thru the pressing tendencies. Now he's just going out and playing.

Darn it, bad throw on the run to an uncovered Diamond. Laser when it should be a toss. Just as I was singing his praises. I don't know if I can take a whole season of this QB stuff.
