What players do you guys want me to key on tomorrow?

only 5...slacker...ha ha

i want detailed analysis on koa misi, reshad jones, richard marshall, jonathon martin, olivier vernon...you know the guys that are gonna help make or break our season...

but not at the expense of ryan tannehill...please chart him on a play by play basis...ha ha

Haha. What did I get myself into??? JK!

dude, u dont know what your saying. 5 is a great number for him to key on. I went out to training camp last year, there is over 90 players out there + coaches and waterboys, if u do what i did and focus on everyone u come out with little information because of how hard it is to keep up with so many players but if u keep your an eye on a set few players you come up with a better evaluation. I kept my eye on chad henne and hartline last year, hartline dropped alot passes and chad henne was innaccurate as hell. I also saw nolan carroll closing in on balls fast as hell, i dont know, i just see something special in nolan carroll. Wish he would show it in game though and not inpractices.

carroll has nice physical tools he just doesn't trust them enough...as for 5 people there might be 90 people there 30 if which are pretty much camp fodder already you can eliminate them right now only position i think you have to really look at and evaluate a large group with is the wrs...you don't need to check on the proven guys the guys you know what they bring to the table cause you've seen em for 3 years or something if you don't know what they offer after watching them weekly for that long every season as a dolphins fan your not gonna ever know em...i'd focus on the guys on the cusp of the roster or guys being thrust into larger rolls or 1st and 2nd year returning players to see what kind of development...or guys we're gonna depend on for this year most likely anyways...

thus i chose koa misi...sounds like he's the man at solb interested in hearing how he looks instincts wise cause instincts at that position are paramount does he look like his head is spinning thinking too much or is he playing fast and confident and flying to the ball...

richard marshall is the nickle cb...in other words he's gonna be on the field as much as the starting 11 in todays nfl pretty much...how physical is he at the los with his jam can he reroute wrs does he use his hands and get physical in that first 5 yards how bout closing speed and recovery and quick acceleration...all key components as a nickle cb...probably won't tell anything as a tackler yet given i doubt they are going to ground but sure tackling is also paramount and key at the position...

reshad jones imo may lead this defense in ints this year given his ball skills and instincts he could make a major leap at the position if he takes good angles to the ball is not too flat and communicates on the back end...we already know he's got great quick acceleration and he's a sure tackler that brings the wood...he's a key member for us this year no doubt about it...

jonathon martin looks like the week 1 starter at right tackle i want to hear how his feet and his kick slide look is he using a punch to initiate contact and get the rusher off balance how is he coping against strength if he's getting beat is it being walked back to the qb or is it with edge rush quickness and guys turning the corner or guys redirecting inside after he overcommits to the outside with his first step...is he playing to the whistle is he showing a nasty streak...does it look like we need to give him a lot of help by keeping in a te or chipping with a back etc...

olivier vernon i want to know as he's a likely pass rush specialist candidate is he showing primarily speed to power is there versatility in his pass rush how he looks with his initial burst off the ball and is walking guys into the backfield with his strength...is he stout at the poa

reshad jones is someone im excited about. Dude was a beast in college.

Guys, please read my original post. I won't be focusing on the QBs. I really want to focus on other positions. If I focus on the QB it will be tough to keep my eyes on the non skill positions and the battles between the DBs and WRs in the middle of the routes.

Egnew, Martin, Vontae (haven't heard much about him), Vernon, and Jimmy Wilson

I'll check in on the thread in the morning and count the votes. Great suggestions so far. Goodnight everyone.

Heading out to camp tomorrow. What top 5 players besides the QB's do you want me to focus on tomorrow. I'll take the most popular answers and focus on those players tomorrow.

Over at Phinsider.com, they've been posting detailed practice reports on a daily basis. Several players continue to get notice or praise from the observations of the poster. 1)Misi 2) Wallace 3) Miller 4) Martin and 5) Devlin. I was wondering if you'd keep an eye on them, in an attempt to confirm what this poster has been seeing out of these 5 players. Thanks!!!!
