What players will be cut before training camp? Well, if new free agents are signed my understanding is that the roster would have to be tweaked. Can anyone identify players who will not even make it to training camp?

There would have to be both a cap benefit and a player they wanted to fill the slot for it to happen however. I don't think we have enough depth in the defensive backfuield as it is so I doubt we will see any pre-emptive cuts there.
On offense, imo, no way Berlin gets cut before camp. Teams carry four QB's into camp just for the work load. Berlin will get the scout team, maybe the season practice squad, and if so a shot at NFLE next year!
Maybe the best chance for someone leaving before camp is at RB. We have Ronnie Brown to start but then we have Lamar Gordon, Travis Minor, Sammy Morris, and Kay-Jay Harris who all should get a legimate shot to be the back-up. I don't see us carrying five RB's nor do we need that many even in camp. If one of them gets a look by another team and Nick can turn one into a draft pick I think he pulls the trigger. My guess??? Travis Minor. Why? He is the only "light" back. The others are all guys who could play out of the one back set Linehan seems to prefer.
We have insufficent depth at WR or TE to expect cuts there and on the Oline, Houck/Davis seem to be intent on collecting enoguh bodies to find five who they can build into one line. I think they ought to concentrate on finding a loophole that allows us to play seven offensive linemen at once but that's a topic for a differant thread.
Great points, I agree.Ohiophinphan said:On the Dline, perhaps D. Bowens unless he can also play stand up LB. During cut down, I wouldn't be suprised if Damion McIntosh was cut, Houck has shown him the door before. Matt Turk could be a cut depending on the competition, his leg ain't what it used to be.
