I started this same exact thread a few weeks ago when we were losing and Coaching was #1 and O-Line was #2 far more than any of the rest. So today lets see where we all stand. What is our biggest problem position right now?

Lets see

QB- No TDs or INTs this week. Could be better or worse
RB- Ronnie ran very well yesterday
FB- Doesnt usually get mentioned
WRs- Booker didnt do much, CC didnt do much either, Welker is a stud as always
TE- Randy made a few good plays
OL- Playing a lot better

DL- Great pressure all day
LBs - Played a hell of a game
Secondary - Made several great plays. Didnt like Gonzalez getting so easily open though.

If your question was what would I do with our first pick in the draft, I'd say we should go OL.

I want a new WR and LB as well

MY vote is:

#1 - break away WR
#2 - shut down DB
#3 - dominant OLB
#4 - LT

I dont think we have a "problem" position per say. I think we've moved into the upgrade category where several positions could be upgraded next season or the following. QB (most difficult position to upgrade but one that we should address in the draft), OLB (Spragan's spot) DE (opposite Taylor) CB (need a shutdown corner), K (Mare is gone next year), LOT(DMac is fine but we could use a monster there), C (Hadnot is better as G but maybe he improves next year) WR (could use a difference maker)

I vote for a LT as first pick in the draft. However I see QB as our biggest problem now because as much as I like Joey, he's a decent backup at best and face it while he threw no INTs yesterday he threw no TD's either, offense still lacks punch and mostly because he's just not an accurate passer.

It's funny after the first 7 weeks it would have been the secondary and Oline. Suddenly those positions have come together and have been effective over the last couple of weeks. That's not to say we couldn't still upgrade those positions. It would be easy to say QB but I don't see us drafting one high this offseason or maybe even at all, so i'll say WR. We need a #1 who doesn't drop a million passes. Sorry Chris.

Kicker, mare is done. hurts me to say this about a guy that has been so valuable to the organization for so long, but hes missing like one kick a game. This is unacceptable. for a first round pick we should draft a LT, we haven't had a dominate one since richmond webb was here

Looking at the question "What position is our biggest problem right now?" it has to be QB. We really haven't gotten any consistent production from that position all year long. It's not something I think we need to address directly in the offseason by finding another guy. I'm willing to give Daunte another shot when he's fully healthy again. But, just answering the question it has to be the QB position right now.

Offensive Problems:
Mike Mularkey
Joey Harrington
Who will start at Left Guard this Sunday?
Rex Hadnot (run-blocking)

Defensive Problems:
Renaldo Hill(played well sunday)
Keith Adams(4th LB).
Donnie Spragan(played well last year)

*************
Mike Mularkey calls too many complex plays. In the beginning of the year, our guys couldn't handle. They seemed to execute these well on Sunday. Mularkey could have a better second half of the year.

In contrast, Wannstadt had a simple gameplan which generally helped in the beginning of the year... but was too simple in the second half of the season.

I think Joiey played well yesterday

QB, MM and OL our this team's biggest problems.
We should get OL help this Offseason.

Sorry I did forget kicker. But this is a good write in vote.

0 TD, 0 INT - Joey played good enough to win. I'm not sure I would say a QB with 0 TD played good, though. Since we won, you could grade on the curve and say he played well. If we had lost the game 13-21, though... and he had played the same way (200 yards passing) I wouldn't say he played good. Average seems more appropriate.

i say help out the left side of the line to improve our all around offense and draft a QB in late rounds
