Is that while I was sitting there at the end of the 3rd quarter when we were up 11, I still knew we were going to lose. This team is THAT predictable. Anyone who is surprised by that at this point is probably the same person who eats Taco Bell and can't figure out why they have diarrhea the next day. When Denver scored their last TD to go up 11, I was just happy to have my excuse to get to my car and turn on the heater so I could feel my face again and beat the rush out of Denver.

Pass rush was completely non-existent. Only sack they got was because Manning slipped and fell while rolling out. Let's go ahead and agree that this defense was grossly overrated. I know Denver's offense is really good and it's a tough place to play (trust me, I was there) out in the cold, but when you play like that in an important game your opponent punts a grand total of 1 time, you are not elite. Manning had 257 passing yards. That is NOTHING for him. But no bother. Did anyone even know who CJ Anderson was before today? It was laughable watching Jamar Taylor try to cover Sanders today before he went out.

Ryan Tannehill is basically Chad Pennington/Alex Smith. He's perfectly fine within 20 yards. Anything beyond isn't happening. Not necessarily a bad thing, until you really need it.

Got 0 help in the standings today too. There are 4 winnable games out of 5 left on this schedule, and if you expect this team to win all 4, you haven't been paying attention for the last 15 years. Get ready for 8-8 again.

EDIT: Forgot one thing. Jimmy Wilson, please go away.

He murdered our chances today.

I was thinking the exact same thing. No matter how big our lead was I knew we were going to find a way to lose. Just your typical Miami Dolphins.

my buddy thinks I'm a horrible negative fan…i knew we would lose when they completed the 3rd and 20. I felt we had to blow them out similar to SD, or at least keep a cushion all game long, once it was a 3pt game we were doomed. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the offense looked, if they can bottle that I think we can beat everybody except the Pats, those bitches are on high cycle and Brady is better than Goober

The momentum was lost and never regained. The defense was gassed. When Denver was able to get big runs early, and you knew they would keep the D on the field. It was over. Miami absolutely had to force 3 and outs or get turnovers.

To be fair the Dolphins teams of the last 15 years haven't put away the teams they should beat the way this team has. So there's cause for optimism on that front in winning 4. To me this is the best Dolphins team we've had in 15 years. That may be more indicative of how bad we've been, but we're in the mix for a playoff spot for a reason. We're better than last year, 1 game better at this juncture is TBD.

Think about it...The Miami Dolphins defense no matter how high they rank in the NFL or how much pumping is performed pregame by the talking heads has not come through with a critical game saving stop since what? 1974?
The offense? Its been a long time...maybe a decade or more since they got the ball late and drove the field to win tearing out the opposing fans heart.

GB,NE,Pitt and Bal just to name a few do it twice a month...

I agree.....but I don't think we'll ever take that next step & become a contender...

Wah my ***** hurts. Wah Feel sorry for me I'm a Dolphins fan. Wah 15 years of the same. Wah wah wah. Bunch of high school girls in here. Man up for god's sake. If you can't see the difference of this team over the last 15+ teams I don't know what to tell you. Maybe Peter King will help you see it.

8. Miami (6-5). Dolphins have lost three games in the last two months: 27-24 on that crazy fake-spike drive against Green Bay; 20-16 in the last seconds at Detroit on the crazy Matthew Stafford drive; and 39-36 when Ryan Tannehill stood toe to toe with Peyton Manning for four quarters in Denver. Don’t know if Miami will make the playoffs, but the Dolphins are one of the most dangerous teams in football right now.

They're moving in the right direction. Embrace it.

Our D is NOT overrated by any stretch of the imagination. They got their top tier ranking over 10 weeks of play, so one game does not then determine the other 10 were nothing. You can't become the 2nd rated D after 10 weeks by chance. They earned it, they just failed us this game. They have a 4th quarter weakness but it doesn't make them overrated.

Overreacting is what happens on this site. several game time threads were going on at the same time and all of them started to say the same thing. Not one was started to say how great our offense was doing being able to drive the field and put up points...considering we haven't had that in far too long.
