If Feeley was in this years draft, based on what you saw from him last year, what round do you think he would be drafted in?

If he were the normal age of a rookie, 4th round.

Well, to compare him with the way the #1 draft pick played last year...Feeley outplayed Eli Manning. It would be a steal to get him in the 2nd round.

No a "steal" would be to get him on the second day in the 4-7th round ...the 2nd round would be wayy to high to pick AJ this year. Lets not compare apples to oranges ..Eli to AJ...Youre asking how they competed last season but AJ wasnt a rookie last season...Eli was in every sense of the word. How did AJ do his rookie season? Ohh thats right he didnt play so Eli would get the nod regardless because he played. This thread is full of holes though. If AJ were in college coming out this year and last years performance was at the college level than id say no higher than 4th....If you want me to say when id pick AJ in 2001 when he did come out id have to say based on injuries/lack of playing time and virtually no tape on the guy id say 5th-6th.

Well, AJ did not get much playing time his rookie season...but after 14 pass attempts, he had a 114 passer rating. He was much more efficient and effective in his debut than Eli. If Feeley continues to play better than Eli, then the Dolphins got themselves a steal in this years 2nd round. Understand?

AJ played with no offensive line and no starting RB. Eli had a top five NFL RB. Rivers couldn't beat out Brees. Big Ben was the true value in last years draft. Losman might be comparible to Feeley. How the player actually performs in the NFL validates his draft status. If Feeley performs at a high level THIS year, then he was well worth this years 2nd round draft pick.

Third rounder which is what every other team was willing to give up for Feely before Speilman went ahead and bidden against himself last year. :shakeno:

IMO, Campbell and Green have better upside than Feeley. If Spielman would have been smart, we would have our second rounder right now and used it on one of these guys if we do indeed go RB with our first rounder. Isn't it hindsight wonderful?

I would say that he would be a FA...undrafted, and would have to pay somebody to give out the gatorade.

Seriously though....He would be the third QB chosen behind Rodgers and Smith.....

what are you basing it on? potential or performance? a college qb is drafted based not only on potential but college stats... the fact that feeley was even drafted as a BACKUP QB when he was shows he must have GREAT potential, just not the performance.... there are lots of college QBs who start who aren't even drafted and feeley who was a backup got picked up in the 5th, that shows hes got the potential a coach wants to see...

but this thread is ******ed and you cant base anything here, his performace last year was on an NFL team not against mountain west teams like alex smith, haha... you cant make an honest guess to this... if anything you konw he can perform in the pros so hes a first rounder... how many of these college kids do you KNOW can make it in the pros?

There's no way to make the same quality messurance between a NFL team with a weak o-line and any collegial team.
If we notice the way Feeley mature under those conditions, it's obvious there's some potencial, a very common quality scouts search for.
I'll say that Feeley make many unforgettable mistakes but also improve under the weirdest offense, so i believe he'll improve under Linehan offense and surely would draft him under 3th to 4th round.
