No excuses with the salary cap, last year he should of taken all the guys with the high cap numbers and asked them to restructure or cut them. We would of taken all accelerated cap hits last year, but would of been in good position cap wise this year. Traded Ricky for anything and rid him of this organization to show we only want players who care about football. Should not have signed all those 30 year old d-linemen.We still could of drafted Ronnie #2, we would of been pretty bad last year, but then be put into a position to draft either cutler, leinart, or young. Thus building an offensive nucleus that can grow together. Then with the cap space could of signed Keomoteu to be the NT in the 3-4, with the 2nd rounder we didnt trade for daunte could of drafted richard marshall. Then we could actually say we were a young rebuilding team on the rise rather then an old team on the decline and possibly getting worse. Sadly, Saban was to afreaid to have a losing season he stunted the growth of the organization.

I think that you're on the right track. Better to lose with youngsters who might improve than old guys who just get older!

Don't blame our d-line, they are actually playing well. I would say them, wes, ronnie and booker are the only ones that are actually playing well enough to win. We also have young guys right behind them, we have evans, vickerson, r. wright, and roth. This is actually an area that i think Saban is doing it the right way.

The D Line is a joke. If they showed up for a whole game I'd agree with you, but they don't. We get one half of good football out of them, at best. Where were they in the second half of the Packer game?

"should have" not "should of" ... it may sound like "of" when you say it, but it's "have" as in "should have done."

"of done" is nonsensical. Just for future reference and if you ever have to write something that countsi n the real world.

ive been one of the many to bash booker, but hes the one who almost never drops a pass on this football team
the same for wes ive only seen one or two drops this season from wes
dont put hagan in there he keeps droping crucial passes that we need to capitalize on

I think going from JJ to Wanny stunted the growth of the organization, as well as the sudden retirement of Ricky Williams. I mean, Saban sure didn't sound like he was afraid to have a losing season last year when he was 3-7. Just like last year people were calling for everyone's head, and saying so and so should be cut/traded/benched. Linehan should have been let go at this point last season based on a lot of fans' opinions. But now everyone wants him back? Give Mularky some time. After all, it is Mularky who is adjusting to the system that Linehan left in place. Sure, Mularky calls plays differently than Linehan, so players need to adjust too, but it all takes time. God forbid we have to suffer a couple losing seasons in the midst of attempting to turn this organization around. When we start to be as historically bad as the Lions or Cardinals, or even the Browns to a lesser extent, I will be upset. But right now, I am only upset on sunday because of how I feel immediately after a loss. I'm not upset with the organization, Saban, the direction of the team, the rookies, or any one group of players on the team. I'm dissappointed in injuries and let downs, sure, but all this second guessing and hindsight that some people like to offer up isn't exactly groundbreaking.

to be honest I dont really have that many gripes with his moves. the problems i have is with the talent. he brought in a LOT problem is he sucked. he brought in a high paid QB problem is he sucked. we drafted positions we need, problem is half of them arent contributing. We really need to bbring intalent. i think its that plain and simple. we bring in 5 good to excellent players next year and we're going to the playoffs. can we do it - i dont know

It's "counts in" not "countsi n".....Just for future reference and if you ever have to write something that counts in the real world.

Sheesh, give the guy a break.
