I have to face the fellow co-workers and friends after being invited to go to a game Ravens vs Raiders. I have been a Dolphins fan since I was a lil kid and went to training camp back in 74. And a big Griese fan, I guess it was because he started wearing the glasses and i was one of the glasses wearing sports kids with the rubber band holding them on. I am a frequent caller of a local sportstalk show and often catch heck for pulling for the phins. Anyways back to the game. It wouldn't be such a be thing but the person who invited me is a former Raiders player, Cliff Branch. He was in my wedding in Vegas and he is flying out Balt. He is putting us in the same hotel as the team and he is working on field passes. I am all fired up to go its just so hard to pull for a team like the Raiders.....I know he would take it as an insult if we did'nt. And when i get back all the crap i'm gonna hear from all the people hear. What would you do?....wear Raiders gear?.....or even go?....what do you tell the clowns from work?......they think i'm not loyal to my team....I have my kids room full of Dolphins jerseys and SI's on the wall. This is a tough one....HELP:dolphins:

i think its perfectly acceptable to root for a team for a day if you are going to that game. (As long as they are not playing your team) Its kind of like every year w/the super bowl. You got to pick a favorite for the day. Plus if this guy is hooking you up, it would be nice to at least warm up to his team for the time being.
I know I would be excited to go to any NFL game, even if it wasn't the fins.

Hey my suggestion would be to start a fantasy team and draft raider players. so at least your rooting for them and hopefully they will help you win your fantasy game. Its ok to root for your players.

Dude just go and have a good time. Not sure if you have to root for a team, just smile allot at the game and you won't offend anybody.

thats perfectly fine, it should be a great experience going out to see the game and stay at the same hotel as the team, i stayed at the same hotel as the detriot pistons during the eastern conference finals and im a heat fan but it was still an awesome experience i got to meet the whole team and i got to go to game 3 of the eastern conference finals and wear my heat gear infront on them in the lobby when they got back from the loss....anyways there is no problem with attending the game i mean its preseason and im not going to lie but i have a randy moss jersey and that doesnt make me any less of a dolfan, go and have a good time man

Being a Dolphins fan and being loyal is part of being a true fan. So I say go have fun with Cliff Branch but, wear your DOLPHINS gear. He should not be offended just because you love the DOLPHINS. Last year, I went to the Chargers Giants in Diego with a buddy of mine who loves the GIANTS. I wore my ZACH THOMAS jersey and a DOLPHINS cap. I went because it was free and it's my buddy. He should not care who I root for.
