What talented GM will come here with Aponte and Philbin?

Hot damn. We finally get rid of two BIG problems (Sherman and Ireland) and people are still bickering 48 hours later. Seriously, why do you assume the new GM won't want to work with Philbin?

I don't know of ANY talented GM who would want to come to a team and have a head coach (Philbin) forced onto them and then have a person like Aponte over them. The whole thing is just crazy. We would've been better off if we cleaned house and hired a GM to choose his own coach.

Give us your list of talented GM's and we will start from there.

I appreciate the sentiment here, but there are only 32 of these jobs in the world. They basically do not grow on trees. I think any GM that is looking into this job understands things change, and if Philbin lays another egg this year Philbin will be gone and he the GM will be on the ascent. That GM would then be able to bring his own HC at that point. As far as our wacky owner. I think a lot of NFL franchises are run by far worse men, and if a GM is looking for the perfect owner they have to wait a very long time.

I am concerned with our owner, and I fear in the long run Ross will always hold us back from where we want to be. I hope I'm wrong, but this whole Aponte-Ireland-Philbin thing scared me and makes me think how Ross functions as a decision maker is not the ideal way for a NFL owner.

I'm a GM. I'll take the job and trust me ... a year with me and Aponte and Phailbin will be marching to my drum.

My point is, a good strong GM can handle them just fine. Although I agree, clean the house now.

Tom gamble interviewed, that's how hot this opportunity is. We have a ton of talent, and a Ton of cap room. What successful GM doesn't want that opportunity? Philbin is well respected he's not an issue. And i think the aponte hate around here is unwarrented

We'll see how well ol' Mr. Ross runs this dog and pony show. Some of you people NEVER learn. You think 8-8 is total success. That's how far this team has fallen into the sewer. I have said it a million times and will say it again. Until Ross sells the team we will continue to be stuck in this rut.

but at least we wont be in cap hell thanks to jeff ireland....i mean dawn aponte.
