So initially when we got Delmas I was pretty excited for a few reasons. The first being that he's a vet who can command a defensive backfield and isn't afraid to stick a running back in the the hole. The second and perhaps more important reason being that he is exactly what Reshad needed to get him playing like his 2012 self.

Some of you might remember I was a HUGE fan of us picking him up in the draft and really wanted us to get him on the field quicker than we did. He has a lot of physical ability and seems to understand the game. The issue i kept thinking about to myself was his on the field relationship with Clemons. Just from a body language view it looked like the two really didn't care for one another's best interest. There is a lot to be said for how important it is that units play for the man next to them. When one of them would make a nice play you rarely saw any interaction after the matter between the two.

Fast forward to this year, Jones and Delmas look like they are having fun out there. One of them makes a nice play the other is there to dap him up and show some kinetic energy which is awesome to see.

We saw this relationship building throughout TC, Delmas really has made for a pretty solid vet signing in terms of holding a leadership role with this defense.

I think we are going to see Reshad really up his game and play like we were expecting him too after his extension.

Just thought I'd share something I've taken notice of this season

ps. I hate that Jimmy Wilson is on our team it looks like he thinks he's playing flag football

It definitely seems to be helping that there's another guy back there that will take risks and be around the ball, opposed to Clemons, who would just seem to get somewhere a second too late.

Reshad Jones is an idiot.

Case in point from a quote of his this week:

"“I’m one of the better safeties in this league.”

Most overrated player on this team. Louis Delmas is doing a nice job though. He sucked in the beginning and is picking it up. I'm starting to like the addition.

However, Jones is unbearable. One of his classic quotes was while was at UGA "I don't need to improve on anything"

If we stop liking arrogant football players we aren't gonna like anyone.

My biggest fear with Delmus was trying to keep him healthy for an entire year. I want to see Michael Thomas get more snaps so in case Delmus is out some we have someone other than Wilson back there. Our secondary is pretty good. We just don't have much depth. Would be nice to see Taylor step up his game a bit. I think his problem is between his ears. He doesn't have the confidence to trust himself yet. Hopefully it will come.

Arrogance is fine IF it is backed up on the field.

And Jones backed it up Sunday.

And actually, SWAG is a better world -- swag is beautiful in football IF it is backed up. Because you take the heart right out of the other team if you tell them what you're gonna do, and then do it.

Delams and Jones are just ok. They will make the occasional big hit or interception to make you think they are wort their paychecks, but neither one of them really excel at their positions. Jones was out of position way too much and he thinks he is a LB, and seems to bite on every playaction pass. Delmas is too wreckless and out of control at times. I think after LB and CB, its the next position of need on this team.
