We need to do something and do it fast. Marino would look like a little leaguer behind that line. They're terrible. Possibly the worst I've seen since I've been following the 'Fins (and that's been for over 20 years). Any ideas?

i agree, people are quick to blame daunte but he was pressured all day, i think the dolphins need to go back to a running team, that is when they are at their best, ronnie showed he could carry the workload he was running hard getting his own yards

he looked great but for some reason we abandoned the run again

Ronnie is going to get killed if he keeps running behind that line. The mere fact that he was able to get over 70 yards yesterday is amazing and should earn him a Pro Bowl nomination alone.

They are pretty pathetic. So is our "vaunted" D for that matter.

The line did a pretty good job yesterday. Daunte had plenty of time to throw, except for 1 or 2 plays. They did a better job than against Pittsburgh.

Really? Allowing 170 total yards from the opposing offense is pathetic?

yea people are quick to blame daunte but i dont care who you have behind that line we cant get anything done with that oline.i guess we need to get a big F/A signing

true, they have been getting better though

I personally think our offensive playcalling should depend on what type of DLine we play. We were manhandled against the physical Pitt defense in Week 1, which meant no where to run, but we held up rather well against the pass and were able to move the ball that way. In Week 2, we were able to run the ball against the more athletic, smaller DLine of the Bills, but had major problems in pass protection. This week, we face a Titans team that has some beef in the middle, but relatively small ends. The Titans are 29th against the run, so we should definitely try to control the game there. Also, we had success with the run against them last year. Tennessee's pass defense is also 29th. So, the offense should look better for us this upcoming week. Miami has the 29th best rushing offense and 14th passing offense, so we'll see.

The weak link (Anderson) has gone out on IR. That alone should be a big boost for the OL.

GO PHINS~!

You dont get it.......there is no one else!

Like the guy in the other post said, we've got to pony up and use a high draft pick one one...preferrably a replacement for L.J. Shelton.

The major problem with the o-line is that we keep changing players every year. The o-line is one of the most important positions on the field that everyone needs to plays as a unit and bringing in a FA mid season ain't gonna do it!.

The line is only as good as its weakest link. That may be a consistent weak player or a mistake on any given play. O-line play is as much mental as it is physical, if you don't know the play and can't pick up the blitz in your sleep then you're screwed.

Also if you don't have confidence in the guy beside you then you are going to constantly be looking over your shoulder to help the guy beside you while still trying to maintain your block, not easy.

These guys right now are not playing as a unit because they simply are not in tune with the offense and have not played together long enough to build a good chemistry.

Unfortunately the only thing that will help that is experience within the offense, time to gel and understanding every nuance of the play calls and defense in order to set the blocking schemes on the pre snap read and then switch off on the fly when necessary to pick up the blitz.

My fear is that if things don't improve on the line quickly then all the Daunte haters will get their wish and Harrington will soon start because it's just a matter of time before Daunte suffers a serious injury again.

i know we tried out a couple OL

so we will probably pick one of them up
