What the hell is wrong with some of you so called "fans"?

I see people bitching and complaining that Sparano doesnt go for a 47 yard field goal with a FG unit that is annihilated on the front line. You risk one block being missed by someone who hasnt played the posistion and then all hell can break lose on a blocked FG.

Instead he put trust into his DEFENSE. It doesnt matter if this defense has been giving up to many leads, if you cant trust your defense to prevent a touchdown with 40 seconds left then you shouldnt even bother staying in the playoff hunt. We have had problems on D but you need to correct them eventually, and the only way you do that is to change the schemes + playcalling and try it in a game situation.

I applaud Sparanos choice.

My problem with the call is that it was Hilliard running the ball instead of ricky, a proven rb instead of a rookie when the game is on the line.

Agreed good call! I think fans just get lost in the emotion and don't look at the injury angle. It is all good man some just got blinded by passion in a must win game!

Yeah I was really questioning that. I would have love to seen a 3 step drop and a fade route to drive the stake through their heart!

well to be fair, putting trust into this defense in the 4th quarter is a shaky proposition at best and they made the game far more interesting that it should have have been, but Sparano made the right call.

The only reason I can think of was he was worried about Ricky's history of coughing up the ball.

Ricky has been pretty good at holding on recently but it might have been more of an injury thing. Basically he put Hilliard in to just pound the ball. If he gets the 1st game over, if not , time to play some defense.

Yeah I would have rather had Ricky in but like I said, I believe it came down to everyone on both teams knew what was coming and instead of pounding it with your starting running back and risking injury , give it to the 4th string guy. Losing your top 3 backs would not be good.
