What the most expensive thing you've......

When Marino threw a pick-6 against the Jets in 1999 (I think he might have thrown two in the game, and that was the second one), I threw my stereo remote on the floor of my college dorm room and it came apart. I thought I had broken it, but apparently it had just come apart at the seams, and I was able to put it back together.....and it still works today. I punched a wall when they blew the last game of 2002 against the Patriots, and that was a mistake. I didn't injure myself but it sure hurt for a while. After that, I switched to just occasionally tossing my hat or a couch pillow when I get really mad. Doesn't happen very often, just isolated incidents will sometimes set me off (like right after the BS illegal touching penalty against Vernon in New England).

I think the maddest I ever got after a loss was the January 1995 play-off game against San Diego. But I was in high school at the time and my mom was right there in the room, so I had to internalize all of it. Who knows what kind of meltdown would have happened otherwise. As I have gotten older I have mellowed out and just learned to accept the fact that something bad will eventually happen. It's part of being a Dolphins fan.

I stopped throwing temper tantrums long before I could afford expensive stuff. :brewskis:

Better chicken wings than the remote!

The wife tends to keep the remote out of arms reach during critical moments of the game.

"I'm just going to put the remote on top of the fridge ok honey..."

Damn I was just a kid during that game. I only remember that exact play, nothing more. I was there holding hands with my uncle hoping for a win, thats when the disappointment began with this team for me.

I was 22 and I kinda knew in the back of my mind the clock was in its final minutes for Marino in his career. It was our last real chance at a Super Bowl we had that ****ing game even though Natrone Means had been gashing us all day. We were right ****ing there and Stoyanovich was automatic that year for him to miss was devastating, i have never felt like that before about a sports game it is almost indescribable that awful feeling. you can pretty much point to that moment as the begging of the dark ages for this franchise we have never had a team as good as that since then and it wasn't even our best team ever.

The only thing I have thrown is a remote control.....I am more of a cusser than a thrower of things or a breaker of stuff. :chuckle:

Get out while youre still ahead.
I have NEVER been a fan of this team during a time they weren't considered a joke. I'm 19, never truly watched the Marino days, I was 6 years old when he retired, and started watching football during the Beck years TBH. So losing and heart break has been a constant for me, winning games and playing meaningful matchups late in the season is still foreign to me, so I'v e never broken a damn thing watching them lose. I just mumble, "Yup" after boneheaded losses lol. It's surprising at times, but when it actually happens, I just realized how dumb I am for not expecting it to happen. Passionate football for me has always ended in December as my entire tenure as a Fins fan unfortunately. :rolleyes2:

I've never broken anything by I have thrown away perfectly good food because I lost my appetite due to thier play....

Does a bet and being broke for a week so the wife does not know count? :)

I have never broken anything important. I yell and scream and hyperventilate frequently. I often stomp around and become annoying to lesser football fans. I have ripped up a magazines or shook the hell out of things but I would never break anything important.

Been through it all 95 playoff game, 2002 meltdown, thank god i missed the jets comeback., 62-7 beating, Ive learned to kinda shrug it off as i get older but last week i nearly tossed my laptop at my wall lol
