I know many people on this forum wanted to get rid Ireland and many of the players he's signed but after watching these 13 games i think we should all see that patience is in order. Now let me back up this statement with reasons

1. Nolan Freaking Carroll - coming into the season AND even after the first few games almost everyone wanted Carroll cut.. teams seemed to pick on him and many times were successful. Well look at this young man now. Actually playing pretty damn good and is holding his own. How many people want to cut him now???

2. Charles Clay - Many people thought that he wasn't good enough to be a front line TE and thought we were doomed when Keller went down. Well he's proven to be quire the playmaker.

3. Jimmy Wilson - Again, many wanted him cut. But now he's playing well. Good #3 DB

4. O. Vernon - Hell even the coaching staff was ready to give up on him evident buy drafting Jordon at #3. Early in the season many fans wanted him benched and Jordan inserted. Well look at him now. 10 sacks on the year and playing much better against the run. Versatile enough to move inside and play DT on passing downs. All in a two year time span.

5. The offensive line - I got to admit... they were terrible, and if the season ended after 8 games I would have cut everybody except pouncy and started from scratch. But now... I woudn't do that. They've earned the right to at least compete for starting jobs in the offseason. Now I'd pretty much keep them in tact and bring in competition.

6. Wallace... Started off slow and many people called him a FA bust. Well, he's picked it up lately but i'd argue that he's always played well. Has he dropped some passes of course, but everyone WR does. is he a complete WR? Nope but we knew that when we signed him. We signed him to give us big plays and he's been getting open deep from day one, but for many reasons most of which had nothing to do with him, we weren't able to hit him deep. Seems like that getting a little better now and will continue to get better with time.

I could go on. but the bottom line is... Rome wasn't built in a day. Many players are new and the coaching staff is new. Give it time, temper your expectations. GIVE IT TIME... BLOWING THINGS UP AND STARTING FROM SCRATCH IS RARELY THE ANSWER.

Agree 100%, but you forgot the other big improver who warrants more patience as well - Ryan Tannehill.
BTW - Nolan Carroll's middle name is Alexander although many people have mistakenly used Freaking or its derivative.

Patience???? Hell Tanny throws a pick and half the morons on here start calling him Henne he sucks blah, blah , blah. Pittsburgh goes up by td first qtr and people are posting game over. You have to have patience in this game and let players develop.

Some very good points there, but I will reserve judgement based on an entire December. We have 2 games that have to be wins (Bills and Jets) if we are going to act like we are balling. Plus a 3rd one vs a Pats team which we should be able to beat given their injuries. If we can beat the Pats, a lot changes for us.

... And then they barely win a game against a non-playoff opponent, and suddenly they're going on a Super Bowl run, and everything is roses and peaches. Goes both ways.

A win is a win in NFL. Any team can be beat on any given Sunday. Who said Superbowl? Ill take any win any way we can get it. At end of year does it really matter how much your team wins or losses a game? Nope just your record. Get a clue novice!!!!

There was a thread here yesterday talking about making a Super Bowl run. Also, I found this clue that seems to be telling me that we're only one game above .500, and currently not in the playoffs. Strange, since i'm here reading a thread that's already talking about how we all should have been patient in hindsight.

I've been preaching patience for years...and now that it seems like our management is showing some patience it is paying off
