is a pair. That is all. discuss. jk. Seriously besides a pair our team is lacking not many things, but key pieces to the puzzle. I think we have the talent to go the distance just a couple of positions and we're good. However I think more of the problem is the coordinators we have. With the exception of the Wildcat (which i give credit to Lee) both sides of the ball are vanilla. You know whos going to be blitzing. You know when we're going to run or throw it. We aren't catching anyone off guard. What we need is some coordinators that like to put it in the other teams face.

I want a defensive coordinator like Pittsburgh had a couple years back with those exotic blitz packages and always had his guys in the right places to make plays. I don't want a coordinator cough cough PP who seems during like the middle of the game to be wondering when hes gotta take his metamucil again. I want an offensive coordinator who loves to ATTACK defenses not take what the defense gives you. As much as I hate to say this but I bet if Saban had of stayed as our D coordinator we'd have a tough mean defense.

I would also like a damn WR who doesn't need his diaper changed and can catch the football. These stupid drops are killing us. If I remember correctly, we had a big streak last year for a long time for the least amount of dropped passes in the league, wtf happened?!

Id also like a ILB who doesn't like his hair to be pulled and slapped in the face and can actually make some plays. I get sick and tired of seeing him always a yard or two away from his guy or getting steamrolled by some 5'8 guy.

I don't think Sparano is to blame really.. This rests on our coordinators and Ireland for the personnel. Its Irelands job to keep people/sign people that can help us win. Sparano's job is to try his best to mold them and play them to their advantages. He does a good job of preparing and some have said that he looks like a fan on the sidelines. Well that may be the case but that shows you the intensity and passion that he brings. You can tell he loves the game. Id rather much have someone like that than someone like Cameron or Wannstedt who are emotionless on the sidelines.

List of People that need to go.
1. Ted Ginn
2. Channing Crowder
3. Henning
4. PP

Our draft should look like this.
1. WR
2. LB
3. S
4. DL

They need a new OC and DC. This team will look X10 better alone with the same players with a new coaching staff.

They have the same Defensive co-ordinator for ever, the great D.Lebeau.

C.Crowder doesn't need to go, his responsibilites need to change and we do that by bringing in a playmaking ILB. Personally I'd like the best FA wr we can get and only draft one if he's BPA (Tate please), to wait for a drafted receiver to get it will waste next year. The safeties have been playing much better and I don't find that much of a priority. NT is a huge one again and that needs to be taken care of in FA and there's plenty of guys potentially available there too.

The Co-ordinaters have really screwed this team over this year and the players never bailed them out. Replacing Henning is a must, as is PP whether it's within or bringing in more guys from the BP tree then fine just make it happen.

I don't understand how the same team that respawned the single-wing decided that it could win with the most vanilla defensive schemes in the world.

You've got to have talent, and you've got to use that talent in creative, efficient ways.

New Orleans' defense is not filled with talent. Hell, their secondary had its top three corners sidelined tonight and they're starting washed up free agents. But Gregg Williams' schemes are quite good.

We may have a terrible secondary, but we have a good enough D to win games. We were 24-3 and in Brees' face all day. When we stopped blitzing, we got torched. Who's fault? PP. Then Henning on offense gets conservative and calls the worst plays you'll ever see and we go 3 and out in the 4th Q. Do you know how many times we go 3 and out in the 4th Q before the tired D gets on the field?

More of blame everyone EXCEPT Sparano. Geez.

Sparano is fine. He must fire PP and Henning. I question his game decisions some times, but it's not what has cost us games. He doesn't call the plays on offense or defense.

Agreed. I believe we have the talent just a couple holes need to be filled but our play calling on both sides is not cutting it. I also want us to sign a FA WR but if we don't id like one in the first round. If we did sign a WR, a LB would be the first choice. And yeah our safeties are playing good but they are getting up there in age. Need someone back there who can play center field.

Part of the reason I'm not ready to blame Sparano just yet is because of the odd power structure in Miami.

When Parcells took over, he hired his people. While he gave the HC job to Sparano, he also provided him with henchmen that HE chose (or strongly recommended). Sparano may or may not like the job Henning and Pasqualoni are doing, but let's say he doesn't. It's a slightly delicate situation, because he's still in the process of individuating from Parcells. I'd like Sparano to have the cajones to say to Parcells "hey, look, your guys suck donkey balls" but it's not so simple.

Yeah, Sparano is the head coach. But Parcells hired all these guys as equals, in a sense. I can't imagine it's terribly easy for Sparano to pull rank over Henning and Pasq at this point in time. Offseason, I'm sure he'll do what needs to be done.
