Starks has a solid first step and where he won't muscle the offensive line into doubling him he may get enough penetration to demand a double team.

Tony McDaniel gets some good push when playing. He's a beast out there.

It wasn't a given when we signed McDaniel that he'd be a DE for us, NT was a possibility. I'm pretty sure he said he's played both before. He has the size, but I don't know if he has the lower bulk that helps make someone like Wilfork so damn hard to move. If Fergie doesn't come back I would expect everyone who might play NT to get bumped up the food chain, while we add the best available street free agent to the practice squad.
