The guy has proved not to be a starter, though he is a valuable back up, and cost us a fifth rounder. If Daunte is a 100% healthy, and we get offered a 3rd rounder the guy is out the door. I dont care if Daunte isnt the answer either, we cant get rid of Daunte, cause no one would give us anything on return, and his cap hit would be enormus if cut. With that pick we could afford to draft a day 1 QB without sacrificing other positions.

If Daunte isnt healthy before the draft, and we still get offered the third rounder I say sign a free agent and use the pick else where.

If we arent offered a 3rd, he stays and we ride it out with him and Pepper, and probably drain another season.

I've always said a 3rd or better or nothing. He's a valuable backup and your team won't just start losing games if your starting QB goes down if you have a backup the caliber of Joey Harrington.

I'm not sure anyone will offer a 3rd for Harrington, if that is what your looking for. Teams will be lucky to offer a 6th or 7th.

Cut him...The guy has a qb rating of 71.4 this year and overall career rating of 68.6 ...Here is Gus' number from last year 71.9 and 75.3 overall career rating..Matt Leinart (might i add a rookie with a much wors o-line than us..if thats pissible) has a rating of 72.1... and he is having a miserable year....lucky for Harrington we had a great defense to win those games...I cant stand him .... I'd rather see picks from an amateur like cleo lemon atleast that way there is justification....Harrington just stinks..get him out of here...he has NEVER proven to be a decent quaterback at best...the one chance he had to show that he was a better than average he throws to picks that turn for a 14 - 0 Jags run. Bad QB's are every where in the NFL...Guys like harrington have pestered this team since Dan left bring in a NEW QB and teach him with good coaching...thats what good coaches do..ask Bill Parcels..

If Harrington wins three out of the last four I predict he'll be our QB next year and not Daunte.

I think he's already our guy next year. Saban knows it too. If you heard his show today he pretty much made fun of the people who use "stats" to judge the QB talent. If you think he's being traded u are out of your mind. He's the best QB we got. This offensive line wouldn't let any QB succeed here, Joey has been doing great considering we can't run and can't block for him, always makin him throw quickly. the only times we had deep plays for Td's he's either on the run buying more time, or moveng frantically in the pocket. Some of u guys are so dumb at times it drives me nuts. Who else is gonna succeed here? Fix the Offensive line in the offseason, so Brown can run, and Joey gets some time, and Superbowl here we come. It's that simple. (maybe another big cover guy would be nice too) I jus't don't know how many time's i heard announcers every week talk highly about his arm. Even on NFL MATCHUP they were talkin about how much better he is, and how good his arm and decision making is when given time. He's the least sacked quarterback because hes always releasing the ball before he takes a hit, Saban and company have been working with him on it, and u can tell at halftime agaimst the Jagz he was letting the sacks come to him, instead of forcing things like he's been doing. The kid is good, not great like marino, which is all this board wants to settle for, but good. just protect him and get us a running game next season, and we are all good.

P.S. for the people who bash Ronnie Brown, it's the same thing here with Joey, both are good players and if we can get some kind of upgrade in our line, everything should be ok for next season. Both have played well enough to be here next season even tho the "stats" havent shown so. Only time we really protected Harrington and Brown was against Detroit recently. Look at the teams we've been facing BEARS MINNESOTA JACKSONVILLE KC. Im so happy to see them move the ball right now, because we're not supposed to against those teams and our o-line. Should be candyline for good defensive fronts against us. But yet we have performed pretty well considering.

Umm no Daunte is or guy and he will get to prove it next year when he is fully healthy.

regardless of what people say, culpepper will get another shot to start, if harrington gets offers we could maybe get draft picks? i think that the dolphins need to turn to the draft to find the next marino, i mean that is how we found him, through the draft, not free agency

I'm just gonna put this out there one last time and one time only.... we have Joey for a great price, and even if CPep comes back healthy, he's still coming off of a huge injury and who knows what will happen. The same goes with Ricky coming back... Both players are extremely cheap for their ability at their pos. And boy am I gonna get sick this offseason with the trade Harrington and Ricky threads. No way we get compensation near what they are worth to us...

My guess is, Saban keeps Harrington unless someone pulls a Rick Speilman and continues to try and help Joey improve in his weak points and possibly pull out a decent starter in the future. With Culpepper a questionmark healthy or not, it's nice to have another very capable QB.

Awww...cmon....one more time....I didn' hear it.

Sorry couldn't resist......Excellent point....but no matter how much you wanna complain about it....they are coming.

I want him to be the starter next year & just want DC to go away. Nothing personal against him but I will stick with JH & look to the draft in the coming years. He has flaws, but his pocket awareness is way above DC's & DC's physical condition does not allow him to get out of those situations like he used to.

Just work on JH to cut down the int's.
