I would like to start off by saying, Its nice to be back.

1. What we know from last season, my opinion is that given the right system and growth Teddy Ginn will be dangerous for us.

2. John Beck or just JB will be decent for us or maybe even good at the qb position with the right coaching and guidence, he just need time.

3. We have a very good core of young talented offensive lineman in Samson, Carey and Hadnot, we are close to being where we need to be barring injury.

4. We need a game changing defensive tackle and I think Glenn Dorsey would fit just fine with our team, he could take a lot of pressure off JT and Porter and make our defensive line play a lot more effective.

5. After we get a good def. lineman next priority must be a solid corner back, Aqib Talib or maybe even Reggie Smith will still be around with the first of our second round pick that would be nice.

6. As far as linebacker, It would be wise to take a look at middlelinebacker,
there are a few that will still be there in the third but I dont see no one who sticks out that can make a big impact for us draft or free agency wise that is, but in the NFL you never know.

Thats my take fellas, I would like to know what you think and please try to keep it nice, we are all Dolfins fans right.

Agreed, but he needs to beef up just a bit to be able to take the pounding of an everyday WR. I still think he needs to return kicks, he can be dangerous there as well.

2. John Beck or just JB will be decent for us or maybe even good at the qb position with the right coaching and guidence, he just need time.
I completely agree, he showed flashes of brillance, but like every young QB, he needs a coach with patience, and someone who will equip him with the weapons needed to succeed.

Im pretty sure hat parcells will beef up the OL, he loves big offensive lineman that can control the clock.

4. We need a game changing defensive tackle and I think Glenn Dorsey would fit just fine with our team, he could take a lot of pressure off JT and Porter and make our defensive line play a lot more effective.
He is by far the best DT prospect to possibly EVER come out of the draft, and if you remember, parcells took Ware and Spears because of his love affair with the DL and OL being dominant.

5. After we get a good def. lineman next priority must be a solid corner back, Aqib Talib or maybe even Reggie Smith will still be around with the first of our second round pick that would be nice.
I think we spend the money and get Samuel.

Crowder can be a top tier MLB, but he needs time.

Nicely put. First of all, HELL YEAH IT'S NICE TO BE BACK! For CRIPES sake that seemed like an eternity. Hackers, pfft. String 'em up, I say.

Anyway, back to football. I agree that Ted Ginn showed some promise, both in the return game and in the offense. His size concerns me a bit as an every down receiver but I know size doesn't matter...or so they say. I did mockingly say, "He's very exciting" every time he returned a kick...mainly as a jab to the former coach. But now, under new tutelage he may blossom.

I do like Beck and hope he succeeds but man, did he look bad late. The Cincinatti game, I believe it was, where he came in for Lemon and Parcells was watching. Jeesh, that was not good and one has to wonder what the residual effects of that performance will be. I'm not so attached that I must see him but what ever Big Poobah decides is fine.

I hear Dorsey is great. I've seen several LSU games and really have not been witness to that supposed greatness so I must reserve judgement. I hear good things about Howie Long's son. And there's an OT from Michigan I did see have a monster game vs. FL in the Citrus Bowl...another Long...Jake, I think...who is freakish. So as far as the first pick, I think it's wide open. Defense is probably where they'll go, though.

And yes, our LBs and secondary are in sad shape so there promises to be marked improvement on that side of the ball. I do hope JT stays, as well as Zach and Porter. We owe Porter some money I'm sure so he might as well play for us. And knowing he lambasted Cameron makes me have respect for him.

To reiterate, it is great to have FinHeaven back up and running. Kudos to whomever it was who busted tail to get it done. And I hope the dicks who gave it cancer have something coming their way.

Dorsey isn't a 3-4 lineman. He skills fit a 4-3. The key to drafting is to draft quality THAT FITS YOUR SCHEME.

Ideally u want Dorsey in a 4-3 . . . but he can be put in a 3-4 . . . and succeed. I would actually love converting back to a traditional 4-3 and make him a gem on that DLINE.

I agree 100%.. Unfortunately (and his play showed this while Zach was out) Crowder just isnt an answer at MLB. From tjose of us who watched the games he replaced Zach in, we all know he is not a quality starting MLB on this team. Whether it be poor tackling, or taking himself out of plays as he is notorious for over persuing and taking himself out of the play, he would definately be an enormous downgrade at the MLB position. He must stay at the strong side. Unfortunately Zachs replacement isnt on this roster and IMHO we need to fill that position through the draft (A FA MLB will be too expensive).

Hey Kdawg whats up! Glad to hear from youn again, man did I miss you guys.

do you guys think lance briggs could be a good mlb for us?

1. What we know from last season, my opinion is that given the right system and growth Teddy Ginn will be dangerous for us.

Agreed, he just needs to add around 10 pounds of muscle without losing much of his speed.

2. John Beck or just JB will be decent for us or maybe even good at the qb position with the right coaching and guidence, he just need time.

If time is all Beck needs, he should've never been drafted in the 2nd round. Derek Anderson was an example of a QB that had the tools/measurables to be a very good QB, and he was taken in the 6th round. All Anderson needed was time...

3. We have a very good core of young talented offensive lineman in Samson, Carey and Hadnot, we are close to being where we need to be barring injury.

Agreed, our OL is much better than some are willing to admit. If we can get a solid LT and move Carey back to RT, that should make us set on the OL.

4. We need a game changing defensive tackle and I think Glenn Dorsey would fit just fine with our team, he could take a lot of pressure off JT and Porter and make our defensive line play a lot more effective.

At this point, Chris Long is the best prospect in the draft. He also comes without the injury concerns that Dorsey has...

Thats open to debate. I like Chris Long a lot but I dont think he will have the same impact as Dorsey would in our Defense, but thats only my opinion.

1. Ted Ginn can be a number 1 WR in this league. He can beef it up and should to take the pounding.

2. Jury still out as far as being the answer at #1 QB. But, he has place on this team for sure. Admire his composure and decision making in the pocket. Effective coaching will be paramount with him.

3. We need to get meaner and bigger on the line. Agreed we are fine with Hadnot, Carey, and Satele. Despite typical rookie mental mistakes that Satele committed at times overall impressed with his rookie season. I can see him as a starter with a 7 year + career potentially.

4. Dorsey makes all the sense. Knee injury was flukish due to a nasty chop block. Recovered nicely for NC game. Evey strong D starts up front.

5. Prefer experience over grooming a CB. Samuel will cost a boatload but may be worth it. if De Angelo Hall did not have his mouth or tude he would look good in aqua and orange. Of course we will never get him.

6. I have to disagree here. Crowder is a OLB and is out of position at MLB. We need to seriously look at MLB on day one or add this to the FA wish list.

I just cant wait till the combine starts. I hope there will be lots of players stepping up so we have lots choices, and most off all the input from CK and Boomer makes it so fun to speculate whats going to happen!!!!!
