What we learned in this draft...according to me.

1. Our coaches are content with Anthony Alabi. They drafted not ONE single Tackle. Meaning...Alabi is gonna start.

2. We must really like Samoans. Ive been to just about every island on Hawaii...its nice.

3. Booker and Chambers are here to stay. Thats good...Ginn gives them the room they need to get open.

4. We want a dominant running game...Ronnie, Ricky, Lorenzo...to me thats a 3-headed monster. We'll never have a fatigued runningback...nor will we have a 1000 yard rusher.

5. Cam, like Saban, likes big nasty, in your face Offensive Linemen. This draft also shows he wants depth at the OL.

6. Terry Shea, QB coach, and Cam Cameron...who yes, is good with QBs...obviously saw loads of potential in John Beck.

7. We never traded a pick...we need young guys. I congratulate Mueller and Cam on that...we never gave up a pick for Trent Green.


8. When Cam said you need to build from the inside out...HE MEANT IT. He drafted OL, WR, QB, RB, FB. I sorta question the Wright guy from Colorado...but he cant possibly hurt us.

9. To all of you guys who wanted a Kicker...like myself...we are obviously content with Jay Feely.

10. Cam and Mueller want to bring a strong run game to this team. Tis why they drafted Booker, Mauai, and Beck....dont kid me, Beck can scramble.


11. Cam and Mueller are content with our Secondary. They're probably the only ones content with it. But im not gonna question it...


12. Culpepper is here to stay...for now. And now we got depth at QB...Culpepper, Lemon, Beck, even Vick, Matthews, Hamdan if u wanna count them.


13. Cam and Mueller dont see much wrong with our receiving corps...which is why we only drafted one WR. I do agree tho, that we took him too high...we coulda traded back and still got him. But he is Ted Ginn, im sure many teams woulda liked him...and we need a guy like him to return punts, kicks, and make plays on offense.

14. Schlesinger came in because we had it in mind the whole time to draft a young beast FB to groom behind him.

15. Again...im excited to see what Cam does with our run game.


16. Think about it...we can get so many high picks next year. If Culpepper performs well...we trade him for a high pick. If Booker and Ricky perform...we trade them for high picks. Suddenly we are stacked in the first day of 2008 with picks.

17. We are gonna have a speedy offense with tremendous depth on the OL.

Im excited for the season to start!!
 
Very nice summary, I agree with it all. Hopefully you are right about the hear to stay parts. I think Ricky, Booker and Cpep will all be traded or cut. I really am hoping we can afford them all to stay.
 
vey good points. lets see what players go undrafted. I love our OL prospects. I love what they say in their interview on miamidolphins.com that is the type of players we want. We gotta score points to stay close to NE. All this speed we added will be fun to watch.
 
They are going to move Mauai to guard.

All our draft picks suck Miami will suck for years to come. Terrible draft.
 
move Mauai to Guard??? im not sure if thats true or not. i thought he was 251 pounds or something.



id love to bring Tyler Palko, Matt Moore, and Earl Everett undrafted. We need depth at QB, and Palko/Moore can be excellent 3rd stringers, and 2nd stringers later on.

He's correct. This was amature hour for Cam and Randy. This will go down as the very reason why we will be at best 7-9 next year.

I'm disgusted and I'm not going to let myself be fooled into a pot of gold at the end of this rainbow. Our draft grades so far have been nothing better than C, and most have us at a D.

They all can't be wrong and only Cam and Randy our right. Odd's say no way!
 
Great post man. I'm ULTRA excited about this offseason. Let see what we do in FA.
 
I learned Cam knows freaking Football!!! He brought speed and toughness to our offense. Remember this name drew mormino will be a beast. The Dt from utah will make our defense nastier. Picture it traylor, the samoan, taylor, holiday, porter, ooh and here comes zach thomas crushing somebody. I love the picks.
I also feel i need to defend ted ginn, i hate ohio state but i respect talent. This kid will impress everybody including all the so called nfl experts. Ohio state with him # 1 team in college football, without him # 12 or worse. He is the real deal.ill end with this, Cam knows f$$king football.

Grading a draft before the season makes as much sense as saying you don't like a food youve never tried.

He USED to be 350. Weighed in at 276 at combine and in an interview a week ago was 270.
