We need to have Jason or Will Allen jamming the crap out of Moss all day. (I'd think from a size standpoint Jason is our better man for the job.) I don't recall one time Moss made a catch when getting jammed, it seems to take him out of his game when he can't get a good jump off the line. The few catches he had came against a cushion or when he went in motion. The front 7 can shut down their run game, and if we can get Jason to jam with over the top help, and put Will on Wes, our D could slow down their offense big time. This week in the NFL could be a make or break for a lot of teams.

That has always been the M.O. on Randy Moss, Terrell Owen, Marvin Harrison and a few other elite wide receivers. Jam them at the line of scrimmage and throw off the timing with the QB. The reason why more teams don't do this is because if you don't get the jam on them, they are gone.

I think we need to figure out a more effective way to blitz. I think we can win this game if we can keep the Pats to 17 or less.

Double Moss, jam him at the line with Jason Allen or Andre Goodman and have the FS over the top. Have Will Allen shadow Welker and whichever corner doesn't cover Moss go with Gaffney (think J. Allen or Goodman can handle Gaffney?). Have Bell cover the middle, Watson/Faulk. It's going to be tough no matter how we do it. Shutting down their run game will be key as well.

On offense, we need to take what they give us, be patient and careful with the football. How do you guys think our line stacks up against the jets O-line? If they are close the run game will be their for us, if not they will shut it down. NE will attempt to make Chad beat them, I've watched my fair share of Pats vs Jets games to know that, and Chad usually can't do it. Balance will be key but their their inexperienced secondary the big play will be there as well.

Should be a good one, this will not be easy.

Agreed, the Dolphins D has to jam Moss, double Welker, and blitz the heck out of Cassel from everywhere.

Will they be using 13 guys on defense?

edit: nevermind - i thought your plan was to double Moss and Welker. Too many beers ...

If you want Jason Allen covering Moss all day trying to jam him, then you really want to get beat.
