First, we all need to accept the fact that we're going to suck for a couple of years. We can either suck sliding down... or climbing up. I prefer the latter!

Next, we need to stockpile picks! We have some value on our roster starting with my favorite Dolphin, J.T.! If traded to a contender, like the Broncos, Colts, Giants, Eagles, or Jags, J.T. would bring a 1st and middle round pick. Imagine J.T. across from Freeney, Strahan, or with Stroud and Henderson. Zach could probably a 3rd to 5th and late pick. Chambers, a 3rd and maybe a late, Booker a 4th or 5th,.

Next we trim the fat, overpriced veterans like Carter, Traylor, Holliday, Zgonina, Shelton, Mare etc.

Keepers, D. Jones, Crowder, Daniels, W. Allen, J. Allen, Roth, Hagan, Welker, R. Brown, Darian Barnes, Hadnot, Vick, Y. Bell, McMike, Evans, Vickerson, Alabi, R. Wright, Pope, Harrington, Lemon, Joe Berger, Vernon Carey, Eddie Jackson, Fred Gibson, and Orrin Thompson

I don't think Taylor and thomas would be worth two picks each. Taylor could land us a first day pick somewhere.

i like ur way of thinking, i totally agree. lots of people argue it...but the FACT IS....we ARENT WINNING. yes we got JT and ZT, but are we winning? NO! if we trade ZT and JT in 2 years, nobody will give us much for them. NOW, we'll get a 1st for JT...and we'll get a 3rd for ZT. Probably a 3rd for Chambers, and maybe a 6th for Booker.

i DO disagree with keeping eddie jackson...but the other guys who cost a lot...im all for cutting down. we just...arent...winning.

While I agree with the first part of what you wrote, I disagree with the latter. In my opinion we would be auctioning off the only players that even keep this team competitive. Losing can become a team mentality, so if we go 1-15, 2-14, 3-13 for the next three years after the deals you proposed I would worry about how it would affect the team's future mentality. Also Saban would be long gone a year after the deals were finished. And in my opinion, I don't think JT could bring a first round pick.

The players in bold are UFA after the season.

And Taylor would not be traded. It affects the cap too much, and he is such an integral part of this defense.

And I'm glad you put a lot of thought into the keepers, since over half are still on thier rookie contract.

This post can't even be taken seriously when you don't see Culpepper as a keeper, but you say Eddie Jackson is!??!

IMO...Culpepper is done. Harrington played real well for us, its the receivers who cant catch that make Harrington look bad. If Harrington played on the Colts, Patsies, Broncos...he'd be amazing.

Your opinion on Culpepper and Harrington doesn't matter, and neither does mine. The coaching staff with everything they have done and said, obviously views Culpepper as the long term answer to QB for this team. Not to mention cutting Culpepper after this season saves near to nothing on the cap. As far as Harrington's play has been, it has been good enough. True the recievers dropped like 7 passes last game, but what about the 22 other incompletions? Harrington has played good enough to keep us in contention for every game he has played for us, just like Culpepper did. No better, no worse.

I like the idea aof lots of draft picks, but not the idea of trading away JT & ZT who are the heart of our defense. When your defense is #4 in the league you don't trade away its heart and soul. And don't tell me we give away too many TD passes, that's got nothing to do with JT or ZT.

Done after 3 games after coming back from a serious knee injury? I think you feed into what the media says too much. Don't worry though, I'll make sure to save you a spot on the DC bandwaggon next season (it'll be in the back though )

JT is the one guy we should keep.

Zach isn't the same, but I doubt we could get much for him.

Now that is a funny post!!!!

and why is that funny?? Harrington threw for 414 yards last game...which is unheard of for a Miami QB.

imagine him playing with receivers who can actually CATCH....imagine him playing with an O-line who blocks him perfectly. Look at JAKE PLUMMER...played in Arizona and wasnt that great...went to Denver, became one of the best.
