I think the first mistake was giving them the ball first. They are a good offense (we have a lot of trouble playing against good QBs) and we are struggling on defense, so we go down luckily by only 3, and played from behind the whole game. Couldn't score in the red zone--I don't think it was because of "lack of execution," but play calling. We move the ball well on the ground, then when we get in the redzone, we stop running. Henne not good down there. Our special teams really sucks big time. Gates and Bess are not getting it done (where is Livas). But special team coverage is even Worse--our opponents continually start out at 38+ yard line while we cannot tackle and we start out inside 10 or 20 at best. Bad field position for us and good field position for them all game (every game). Nolan Carol is killing us (gave up one TD, would have been 2 TD if Johnson makes the easy catch). Where was Jimmy Wilson? Trusnik not really helping us. I could go on, but I think I'll stop here and let you guys take it from here...

The problem lies much deeper then just what went wrong with Houston. This franchise is broken and needs a complete overhaul in the front office and coaching staff. Without it we are in for nothing more then asking ourselves what went wrong in our latest loss.

In my 40 years as a Dolphin fan this last 10-15 has been excrutiatingly painful. I wish I could become numb to it but cant. I am so sick and tired of loving a dysfunctional franchise.

I almost forgot probably the worst call of the game. 4th and 1 down by 10 with 8 minutes, and we kind of punt. Why not take the chance of losing now (8 minutes) and giving us a chance or else we lose for sure later. Kind of missing Lou Polite right now.

that was when they needed to go for it - punt it away - hope the d holds - which they did - but it took 5 mins, and then we get 4th and 19 --- needed to go for it on that play.

Tony Sparano that is what went wrong and yes Fin Fans he is here next week for your viewing pleasure!

What went wrong was, Mr. Ross didn't come home from Disney land with a new head coach, and leave his gm there.

Not only that. They come out and try to draw the defense offside. My gut feeling before the snap was they are trying to draw them offsides. With the motion I thought OK maybe they are going to let Henne throw on 4th and 1 even though it's probably just to draw a penalty. I'm thinking go for it maybe he can hit a throw here and it would show you have confidence in him and the stones to throw on 4th and 1. But no, not only do they not go for it they take a very small percentage chance that Houston will jump and do they take a 5 yard delay penalty, no, they use a timeout they badly need. What a waste of a timeout.

I'm not going to claim to understand football better than the coaching staff but here is how time works. When you are trailing like that you want to make each one count. You want to use them when the other team is in a situation to run time off the clock this way each one saves you valuable seconds. I don't think the coaching staff understands that.
