What will happen to Wes?

Are we going to let Wes go after this season? Will he ever move to the number 2 receiver? Will he ever get the respect he diserves in this league?

Wes Welker is my favorite player on the team right now and I am going to buy a jersey real soon and I would like it to be a Wes jersey... My question is would this be a bad idea because he may be gone?
 
I agree... the guy can do it all. If he goes somewhere else and get significant play time its very possible that team will be my second favorite team, unless its Jets, Pats, or Bills. Then I'll just be very angry.

lol if there was a team of 53 Wes Welkers I would pack my bags and move to that city asap.
 
I'm with you, i hope Wes stay's for awhile he is a great player to watch. I'd like to see them use Wes more on the deep pass, i think with his speed he might be able to burn a couple deep one's.
 
ya hold off on the jersey til we know his future..... no he'll never be a #2 WR IMO because he's a slot guy..... as well as he's played this season, Hagan stills starts ahead of him. I'm guessing theres a 50% chance Wes remains with the team next year. As for a team of 53 Welker's.... it would have alot of heart but c'mon.... that team couldn't beat the Hurricanes... How's Wes gunna block D-lineman ??
 
Get the jersey. They would be stupid not to find a way to keep this guy on our team. Anyway, if not, you could still wear the Jersey with pride knowing that the guy played hard for this team for 3 (or 2+) years.
 
Wes is a great team player, an over achiever if you like. But I really do think that he will only ever be a #3 WR. And like you I love watching him play.
 
wes is dangerous on offense becasue he easily beats nickle backs, especially over the middle. In 2 WR sets i'd hafta imagine he wouldnt have the same effect.

We're in the same boat. I want to get a Wes jersey, but I think I'm going to hold off until the offseason. The day after he resigns, my jersey will be in the mail.
 
remember similar style guys like Beebe and Chrebet who use to be such a pain in the *** on 3rd downs?? Thats what we have in Wes...if they really let him walk..I seriously will start to doubt Nick Sabans ability to make ANY personell decision at the NFL level ever again.

Why would we let him go?? He has probably been the Phin's MVP through the first 6 games.
