Now that we got Dion Jordan and guessing he is starting now at DE what is going to happen to Jared Odrick? Will they move him to LB or try to trade him?

jared odrick cannot play linebacker. Hell Im not sure Jordan starts over him at this point. i think Jordan has alot of ability but his numbers in college were far from beast like.

Stay at end...jordan will be only a situational rusher with odrick and Vernon rotating mostly

Jordan will start at LB before Odrick. I think Jordan is used with his hand on the ground and standing up in space. He definitely could stand to gain some weight.

I'm pretty sure Odrick will start at RDE in 4-3 and in nickel kick inside to DT and Jordan is RDE... I think Ireland has said they are going to start him as a situational rusher. Think how SF used Aldon Smith his first year

looks like we are preparing this team for the transition next year when Starks & Soliai will be free agents. Odrick will then be kicked inside to starting DT, & hopefully either Vernon or Jordan is ready to start at DE opposite Wake... i like the way this offseason plan is developing!

Jordan should be starting from day 1. If you trade up to #3, the guy better be an instant starter and impact player.

You can never have enough solid defensive tackles and defensive ends. Wake, Jordan, Soliai, Starks, Odrick and Vernon. WOW. I think Odrick still "starts" at defensive end, but the line is going to be shifting around so much that it isn't really fair imo to say one is starting over the other. Plus, there is a decent chance that Starks and/or Soliai won't be re-signed after this season, so it is good to have the option of making Odrick more involved at defensive tackle in 2014

ODRICK will be our 3rd DT, behind STARKS and SOLIAI. He'll play DT on all sure passing downs and the last 3 minutes of each Half. He'll play DE in the Goalline "D" when we want a little more size. RANDLE (who I like a lot) is, i/m/o, specifically SOLIAI's sub. Think of him as PAUL Jr.. JORDAN might play some DE, but he's our new ROLB: MISI's now a back-up. JORDAN and O VERNON will play the same kind of "games" and "stunts", as our ROLB and RDE, that H MARTIN and L TAYLOR did w/PARCELLS' NY GIANTS. The pass-rush should get A LOT better...and as of now, you "double team" WAKE at your own risk. "Triple team" WAKE? Forget it!!! That's as dead as the dinosaur, the carrier pigeon, and the dodo bird. In fact, you'd have to BE a dodo bird to even think of doing it.

This pick was aimed at radically transforming, changing, and improving our pass rush (which was pretty good anyway), and helping WAKE. And i/m/o, since MIAMI's in the AFC East, it was aimed first and foremost at N.E. and TOMMY BOY. Also i/m/o, it looks well-thought-out, and a darn good idea!!!

One last footnote. I wouldn't wait until 2014 to move ODRICK i/s to DT: I'd do it yesterday!!! It's where he SHOULD be playing.

Odrick isn't going anywhere... unless we get a huge offer from someone, which I don't see happening.

We could play a 4-4 or a 5-3 since our secondary is so thin.

We are going to be moving jordan all over the place; eventually (maybe not this year) I could see Jordan playing Sam LB on 1st downs, and short yardage situations; and moving to DE on passing situations.

Odrick will play DE on run downs; and probably do some rushing from DT on pass downs.

Plus it's worth mentioning that having depth at DL so you can keep rotating and keeping players fresh, is pretty important
