What exactly will take place at this appeal meeting? Is it just a one day trial???? Will all evidence and or statements be made and taken into account on that day and then a decision will be made immediately following that? Thanks!!

It would be nice if it did happen that way. I kind of doubt it though.

In the few cases I'm familar with, it's a one day process, unless the arbitrator wants additional info..but a lot of times that's just something they can turn in for his review..then the abitrator takes a couple of days to render his findings..you just saw an example of this during the Seahawks appeal of the Hutchinson deal with Minny.

I don't think they will reveal any information until the appeal is finished in its entirety. I could be wrong, but that's just my opinion. I, like all of you, would want this to be over as soon as possible so we know what we're heading into for the start of the season. I mean we signed Sammy Morris as insurance but, I'd rather know what's up soon so we can envision they same successful running tandom for 06. :)

He'll get the Stamos slap... and then resume his NFL career...

I just hope the results are cut and dried, with no room for doubt as to what the substance was.

I read somewhere that when a player tests, they take two samples. If he fails a test and there is an appeal they test the second sample more stringently to better determine what the substance is, and if it is consistent with the players appeal the player can win. The arbitrator recieves these results, the initial results, and then the players appeal. He reviews it all and makes a ruling.

Sorry I can not remember where I read it, and it may not be 100% accurate or complete, but I did read it.
