What will the AJ haters do...

It's probably going to come down to drafting a new QB after this season. Saban couldn't do everything this time around, but he is on the right track. He came into a pretty rough situation. I think the most important thing for the fins right now isn't winning in '05, rather building a strong foundation for the near future.
Ill agree that it wont be this year that we make a big run and we'll probably have to draft a qb or grab 1 of the 2 from SD or Washington. I still think we can do some damage this year though if we play smart football on offense cause imo our front 7 on D will be very strong.

I think the better, more relative question is what are all you AJ lovers gonna do when Brock and Sage beats out AJ, and he is cut. Don't worry about all those AJ haters. They will be OK when the season starts and Gus is the starter.

I think the term Feeley lover is overused. I am a Feeley supporter and by that I mean I think he has a chance to be good. If he gets beat out in training camp thats fine with me.

Calling for Feeley to be hung out to dry, thrown out in the street or benched before he has a chance to compete for the job is just foolishness. You all are saying Spielman was an idiot for the trade but most of the ones that are saying this wanted Wolf to be our GM. Its scary how many people who fit in this group conveniently forget that Wolf liked Feeley.

I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY Hope Feeley can step up and catch some heart and grow some b@lls so that the MIAMI DOLPHINS can have a great year. My personal opinion is that he doesn't have the goods and will turn out to be a dud. OR at least as good as Fiedler. No better-No worse. But what are we gonna do? Right now, we ALL know that we had some GOOD years while Fiedler was around and that was mainly cause of our D. IF Feeley can play decently, with our new D, we can be as good as were maybe 3 or 4 years back. Up until last year. Brock won't make the team...Feeley or Frerote will start or backup, and Sage will hold down the 3rd stringer.

I'm not a Feeley lover, but I hope he plays great and becomes our starter. How could anyone not want that? Those who don't, just like to see picks becomes wasted.

Dude, I'm sorry, if you'd rather have a player screw up so you can say "I told you so", rather than have that player be productive to help us win, then you're not a Miami Dolphins fan. Read what I wrote and think about it.
So because someone doesnt agree with you theyre not a phins fan? WTF kind of logic is that? I think AJ is trash but im not parading around saying that if you like Aj youre not a phins fan. Everyone has an opinion on this and to question someones loyalty cause they interpretted what they saw from AJ last year as being crap is just wrong. I can sit here and say Chambers sucks or something (i dont actually think that) for Ex and that he needs to be replaced but if you didnt agree that doesnt make you less of a phins fan.

There ya go. That's a fan. Even if you think the guy may suck, you STILL want to see him do well because it's good for the team. I don't know why "gonick" doesn't understand that.

No, no, no. You are not comprehending what I've written. Believing a player is awful is one thing. Hoping they confirm your belief by playing awful is another.

I can just hear it now ... Damn Saban is an idiot trading for Rivers, a two year backup with no experience.

By the way I agree I think our front 7 will be very good, and I think we can do more damage than people think we will. With WHOEVER wins the starting QB job. Im not saying give it to Feeley ... BUT if he wins it then he earned it.

OK, apparently some of you guys are having a difficult time with this. I don't know how to make it any plainer than this.

NOT A PHIN FAN - "I hope Feeley throws 5 interceptions this game, even though the Dolphins will lose because it proves I'm right that he sucks".

PHIN FAN - "Jesus this guy sucks. I can only pray he doesn't screw up."

See the difference?

If you can't tell that Feeley has a stronger arm than Fiedler, thus a better long ball, then I don't know how to explain it to you. And the fact that he never had anything downfield last year says that we really haven't gotten a chance to see what he can do with it. I just think he has a much stronger arm. In fact, he really needs to learn how to take a little off some of his shorter throws. He needs to work a bit on his touch.

The league's DB didn't seem to have much problem catching AJ's floaters. There is more to throwing down field than a strong arm. AJ is not a NFL QB, deal with it.

I dont think any phin fan hopes he plays awful bro. i think some just see him for what he is; not a good starter.

That is what my original post stated. You know, the one you didn't bother to read before you trashed it? One more time:

People who would rather see Feeley screw up and the Dolphins lose than to see him be productive and the Dolphins win are not Phin fans. I don't see how anyone can argue with that.

oh ya...A.J. had plenty of chances!!! Some of you FinFans aren't bright!!!

ya...he had a lot of chances...throwing the football when he's lying on the ground!!!

did you guys watch the Fins games last season? A.J. had no fing time to throw the ball...yes, he made some really bad decisions...but when you have nothing to loss...you take chances...that's what happened last season.

We had no running game at all...you guys do remember that we had a franchise running back call it quits...right?

We had a revamped O-Line...our left tackle got burnt ever other fing play...A.J. had the nose tackle in his grill 1 second after the snap b/c S. McKinney played like $hit.

Look at how pissed off our TE McMike got in one game and finally gave it to the o-line on the sidelines...that should tell you how bad our o-line was last season.

And A.J. never bashed the O-Line...he never pointed the finger...oh except for the time when he said that Wanny being undecisive about naming a starter and splitting reps hurt or delayed A.J. somewhat...that's all he ever said.

I'm pulling for this guy...and if you looked at when we had a so-so running attack and so-so protections...he actually played good enough to win.

He'll be better this season.

I don't know if he'll beat out Gus...Gus has the advantge in Linehan's system but regardless...I'm pulling for who ever is our QB.

Go Fins!!!

And the biggest argument you get with the fact that he is not a good starter is that half of the people on the board dont even count last year as being a realistic evaluation of anyone's talent who was on offense. I mean everyone looked horrible.
