The Chargers used a supplemental draft pick on him in 07 but he hasn't seen the field yet. He was considered the top senior prospect at CB until he was declared academically ineligible. In 06 he was able to shut down Calvin Johnson when Georgia played Georgia Tech. He is 6'0" and 208 lbs. What would you guys think if we tried to make a move for him?

He got a pick and 15 tackles last year in limited duty with SD and was a 4th rd supplemental that runs like 4.32 40's.......what are you thinking we could get him for ..... a player?:err:

Sorry, I was looking at wikipedia that still said that he had no regular season appearances. He just seems kind of caught in a numbers game there, especially with them taking Cason in the first and Weddle hooking it up this year. It was just kind of a random thought as I am trying unsuccessfully to fall asleep.

no worries.........whats interesting is he had his best action vs Pitt last year, probably playing v the run even in the playoff game, and it does show the staff has some respect for him so I don't think he comes cheap. A very interesting prospect that I wouldn't have looked up but for this post, thanks. I think he could be what we are missing with JA but he still is not proven......we would have to get him pretty cheap. Biggest negative is prob the academic ineligibility (what happened?) BP doesn't tolerate stupid very well.

According to said wikipedia article, he actually tested very well on the Wonderlic but was academically unmotivated (which I can understand being tired of school myself). He actually played CB all throughout college and only moved to safety with the Chargers, so he may actually be a better fit for us there if we did it.

i would love to take a look, SD's CBs are gross and its no surprise it is hard to find the field for a back up. i wonder what he would cost.

He'd probably be our 2nd best CB right off the bat if we got him.

He would totally upgrade the CB position. He was a standout at UGA and he always made plays after plays. I followed his career and was really disappointed we didn't get him. If Miami were to get him at a rather fair price I wouldn't complain at all.

I don't think SD is looking to trade him so all of this talk is basically nonsense.

This is the first time I've heard anyone else talk about this guy but I would love to see us grab him. He sominated Calvin Johnson in that game and he had a great season in general. I don't know what we would have to give upto get him though, they knew what a talent they were hetting when they used the supp. pick to get him.
