I'm sitting here right now trying to imagine what it would feel like to have the team you love and rooted for all your life, be playing in the superbowl tomorrow.

I am from pittsburgh and I hate all my friends right now for rubbin their glory in my face about how excited they are. Half these people take it all for granted i think. The steelers have been good for the vast majority of my friends lives. They do not know what it is like to see your team struggle and be the laughing stock of the league, and never get any respect for anything they rightfully earn.

It is this reason I cherish our season this year so much; basically because I am not used to it, and do not know for sure how long it will last. The Jets game was seriously the best moment finfan moment in my life. I am 20 so i have experienced the end of Marino's career and some dolphins glory shortly thereafter, but it fell down hill fast and stayed at rock bottom for many years. But no matter how much we accomplished this year, i still have an empty feeling inside right now.

I want to be able to sit here knowing the fact that MY team is playing for the world championship tomorrow.

Is anyone else feelin like this right now?

And if anyone on here has been around when miami last went to the superbowl (84' i believe) could u share what it felt like the night before?

Im only 22 & I feel the same way. That Jets game felt like the superbowl to me, I cant even think what it would be like to see Fins in the superbowl. I would probably cry :(

I'm old enough that I have seen all of Miami's Super Bowls. Jim McKay stated it best. The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat.

In terms of which is more painful, losing the Super Bowl or going 1-15 IMO it is going 1-15. The pain lasts for what seems an eternity but the pain of losing the Super Bowl subsides quickly.

I would much rather lose the Super Bowl than go 1-15 again.

I live in tampa and can't even imagine what it would be like if my beloved fins played in the superbowl...especially in the city I live in!! When we finally make it, its going to be among the greatest times ever. I saw Rotlisberger at my school on Wednesday. It was cool but I would have lost it if it was our qb. Love our fins!!!!!

I am in Orlando right now on a mini vacation . . . but I would be in Tampa if we were there (I would have tried my hardest to get Super Bowl tickets . . . even if I only got 1 and went by myself).

Will come back down tonight to Fort Lauderdale to watch the game at a Super Bowl house party.

Alot of Steelers fans in Orlando, haven't seen many Cardinals fans. I'm sure Tampa is a different story tho. (Tampa is about 45 minutes west of OTown.)

I wouldn't be able to sleep last night.

I'm a big Red Sox fan, and so I've lived through quite a few big games recently. Man, it was tough waiting all day for that Game 7 against the Indians, or against NY, and against Tampa last October. And of the course the WS clinchers.

NOTHING would compare to the Dolphins being in the the big one, and I can't even imagine how anxious I would be...

I might pass out multiple times.

I might pass out multiple times.

My sentiments exactly.

I don't know if I could really even enjoy it. I went to game 7 of the 1997 World Series (Marlins fan) and I thought I was going to die in the 9th inning. That game was especially dramatic too, going into extra innings. Thank god the Marlins won.

If it was the Dolphins, my most beloved team in any sport, I don't know if I would live to see the kickoff. I would be seriously worried about my Dad's health too.

All fans would be excited for the Dolphins to be in the super bowl. It is common sense. I too have seen the dolphins in the super bowl and their perfect season. As i have stated before--the weeks leading up to it are the best " to be there". as far as the game goes--i would rather watch it on tv in the surrounding of my choice. Seeing it live has lots of drawbacks--can't pick your "crowd", limited coverage and info. as far as getting in and out--forget about it. Any true fan would not be able to sleep and forget about work the following day. It would be the biggest game of the year.

What i would be curious about is when the fins win the Super Bowl how many posters will tell us how proud they were BUTTTTTTT--we need or we didn't do or we really needed this guy. i watched this team do the best turn around in the HISTORY of the NFL and win the division and posters were still not happy.

To be honest the days leading up to it would be a lot of Posturing by both teams ( as it should be) and their fans. There would be intelligent insights and fun banter by most of the websites. Great Fin Heaven fans with updates and paper tidbits and lots of complaining about our lack of TV and print coverage. then comes the "half empty" crowd that is never happy and feels they should run the draft right before they coach the team to their winningest season ever. then stating that every player up for FA neeedes to be a FIN. I would rather wait til we are ready to play in a super bowl than to get there and get our lunch handed to us as Baltimore did.

here's an idea--enjoy the game as just what it is --- a game. Food, booze and friends getting together. Enjoy the good your team does and applaud the effort. Party your butt off and find stuff to throw that won't break your tv. have the phone ready to call all your pats, bills and jet fans and unload.

i wish both teams luck and a great game be played. WHEN THE DOLPHINS ARE READY THEY WILL BE THERE AND THEY WILL WIN. NOW IS NOT THE TIME.

I'd rather be in Miami NEXT YEAR and win the Fricking World Championship in our house!!!!!!!!!!!!!
